WRESTLERS' INFORMATION:

TEAM NAME: The Dream Team

Individual Names: Mike Gordey and Brian Duncan
Individual Nicknames: "The Natural" Mike Gordey and "The Runaway Train" Brian Duncan

Heights: Gordey - 6 ft. 3 in. / Duncan - 6 ft. 10 in.
Weights: Gordey - 238 lbs / Duncan 294 lbs.
Handedness: Both righty
Looks: Gordey - close-cut blonde hair, hazel eyes. Handsome and muscular with a cross tatooed on his left forearm. Duncan - a build similar to Kane. He has shoulder length dark brown hair tied back during matches, and an ugly, fierce mug that only a mother could love.

Hailing From: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Disposition: Heel
Gimmick: A team assembled in Minnesota to bring glory back to a past wrestling hotbed, Gordey and Duncan are the quintessential 80's era tag team updated for today's wrestling landscape. Gordey is the cocky, talented technical wrestler while Duncan is the enforcer that relies on brute strength.

Ring Attire: Matching green spandex singlets with the "Dream Team" insignia across the stomach and back.
Theme Music: "Princes of the Universe" - Queen
Ring Entrance: Pretty much heel it up - I dunno, I guess you can have them do whatever you feel like.

Invidual and Team Tactics/Style: Modeled after the Hart Foundation (Gordey=Bret, Duncan=a much bigger Neidhart) with an updated moveset

Individual and Team Strengths: Gordey - 1. Technical Skill 2. Intelligence 3. Stamina / Duncan - 1. Strength 2. Resilience 3. Mr. Overhand Right / Team - 1. Teamwork 2. Rule "bending" 3. Balanced attack

Individual and Team Weaknessess: Gordey - 1. Tends to get too cocky 2. Struggles once his gameplan breaks down 3. Loses focus at times / Duncan - 1. Slow 2. A bit on the dumb side 3. Gets trapped in flash pins fairly easily / Team: 1. Struggle against likewise balanced teams 2. Have no aerial attack to speak of 3. Occassionally have problems with ring spacing, allowing for hot tags.

MATCHWRITING GUIDE:

Note: Mike always starts the match, with no exceptions.

Gordey's Moveset: STO Backbreaker, Sambo Suplex, Spinebuster (Arn Anderson style), Texas Cloverleaf, Boston Crab,
Signatures: St. Paul Press (Reverse Crucifix into a Cutter), Vick's Vapor Rub (Reverse Lungblower), Ice Fisherman Suplex (Cradle Fisherman Brainbuster - can be used as a finisher)
Finisher: Gordey Bomb (Tiger Driver)

Duncan's Moveset - Yakuza Kick, Chokeslam, Gorilla Press Slam, Charging Elbow, Lariat, Sidewalk Slam
Signatures: Get Lost (Two handed choke toss), Wig Splitter (Straight right hand), Express to Minneapolis (Jumping Avalanche)
Finisher: Deer Creek Driver (Yokosuka Cutter)

Team Signatures: Assisted Superplex, (Mike on Brian's shoulders), Cutter From Another Mother, (Gorilla Press Drop (Brian), Cutter (Mike) ), Goodnight, Grand Rapids (Full Nelson Facebuster (Mike), Yakuza Kick to back of head (Brian) ), Total Elimination 2K8 (Legweep (Mike), Short-range Lariat (Brian) ), Pinball Punches, Speeding Bullet (Double Spear, Mike jumping over Brian)
Finisher: Great Lakes Bomb (Irish whip off the ropes, double-team Crucifix Powerbomb - Backseat Boyz' T-Gimmick)

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:

They didn't meet until three years ago, when both of their careers were just beginning. Introduced to one another by Mike's trainer Andrew Rossi (then known as Simply Beautiful), they hit it off immediately and started teaming in small promotions all over the Midwest, honing their craft and getting ready for bigger and better things. Once Mike heard about the NFW Tag Team Tournament, he couldn't resist the urge to see if the Dream Team was ready to make it in the big time. Many of their moves are named after the cities and towns in Minnesota where they were debuted.
