FADEIN: 'THE WOLF' MIKE RANDALLS is standing in front of his home in the Mojave Desert. He's wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a roughed up, dirty cowboy hat. On one of his arms is a soft cast, presumably from the time he burned himself in one of his last promos before 9/11/01. The sun is setting behind the house as Randalls is gazing out into the desert...
RANDALLS: "Perhaps the events that have taken place in the past month have made you question your place in this universe. Maybe the tragedies delivered upon this country have made you question the priorities of your own life. Maybe they made you question if what you even do is important anymore. I'm not here to question myself, nor am I here to devote myself to any cause, but my own. Some of you may deem me selfish and insensitive. Some of you may question if I have any integrity at all. Rest assured, I'm not like this because I don't care. I'm like this because I don't know HOW to care. In my eyes, in my mind...I've always known where there is life, there will always be death. Where there is good, there will always be evil. I'm not one to choose either side and I'm not one to overdramatize these simple things that I accept as THE WAY of our world. Sure, these things shall change the way many people will live their lives. When we board planes to our next destination, we will see it. When we watch the television, we will hear it. Some of you may find time to sit and reflect upon these events, and maybe you will feel it. I won't - the only thing I've ever felt is pain...it's the path I chose, it's the path I follow. It's the path that led me back to this place, it's the same path that will lead me out. I have not changed, nor do I have remorse. Soon you all will have to return to your daily life and put all this behind you. I wait with great anticipation, for I am at the same spot on my path that I was three weeks ago. I have not moved, I do not feel different. I only feel the same. I only feel pain...and soon, some of you will too..."
