Total J Cup 2009 Announced
Posted October 26, 2009
www.warpedwrestling.com

Its been officially announced that the world-famous Total J Cup, a tournament for the Junior Heavyweights of the world, will return this year.

The Total J Cup was last held in 2006 and many wondered whether or not the very popular tournament would ever return, with speculation of a possible new promoter for the tournament in 2007 and rumors flying that the tournament might return in some way, shape, or form. There would be no Total J Cup 2007, nor 2008, however this year, that all changes.

One might ask: what is this Total J Cup? It is a tournament comprised of 42 men striving to be the very best in their division. A wrestler is considered to be a Jr. Hvw. if they are 230lbs. or lighter. In 2004, the Total J Cup was started after inspiration came when Total J Cup Founder Joey Matthew's home fed 'Headstrong Wrestling'(HSW) only Junior Heavyweight Champion of nine-plus months was injured and had to vacate the title. The Man With No Name, the nine-month champion, added much prestige to the title, and it was an option for the competitor who won the Total J Cup in 2004. In 2005 and 2006, the Total J CUP itself was the only thing on the line, however with a talent level unheard of in a junior heavyweight tournament.

Some of the best wrestlers in this business have been juniors, whether it be stars like Chris Jericho, Rey Misterio Jr. etc, or such Total J Cup participants of the past like Seymour Almasy, Johnny Razor, El Nutso, Malcolm Dred King, Tai Hashi, Digital Mortality, Cade Sydal, Shinzan Valfane, Javier Sikkan, and others.

Details such as venues, sponsors, dates, participants confirmed and more are not yet available. You can sign up for this tournament today by sending the following info to TotalJCup@Gmail.com immediately!

Good luck with the tournament.

Loz (Digi Mort's handler) isn't around on the FWC boards. He was having computer issues last time I heard from him. He'll probably see the PTC post you made, though.
