Bio / Background:
Born on October 4th, 1980 in West Philadelphia, Phillip Damani, the only child to a single mother, began his life in a 1 bedroom apartment with his single mother, Elisabeth. After growing up in a rough neighborhood for 13 years, Phillip had a natural talent for fighting, he even developed a passion for making the guy he was fighting look stupid. At age 14, Phillips mother lost her job, and with no money, they were forced to move in with Phillips Grandparents in Easley, South Carolina. Before Phillip left his hometown, however, his best friend since he was 7, and first began fighting, was beaten to death over a gang-related dispute. Phillip turned to his school councilor for help. She told him that being born with certain abilities didn't make him how he will become, instead it was how he chose to use his abilities that would make him the man he would become.

After arriving in South Carolina, Phillip decided that if he didn't want to end up like his friend, he should begin his life all over again. When Phillip finally got settled into school, he joined his school's basketball team, it was great, he soon became very popular through his talents on the court. Life was great until he broke his foot in a pickup game when he was 15. While he was in the waiting room, he met a boy named Casey Alderman. The two became quick friends, Casey was a wrestler for the school, and Phillip shared his sense of humor. Two months later, Phillip was all healed up, and Casey had talked him into trying out for the wrestling team. Since Phillip had natural athletic talent, he made the team with no problem. The next two years, Phillip and Casey reined supreme in the world of high school wrestling. Neither one lost a single match for two years. After graduating, Casey and Phillip had developed a love for the art of wrestling, and looked to take there talent s pro. Casey was the one that found out about a small federation nearby called the EWC, they both knew this was there shot. Phillip and Casey quickly became "Genesis, and Exodus"; the hottest tag team in EWC history. After winning there first belts, the tag team championship, both at the age of 19, they got bored of tagging with each other, and split up. Both Phillip and Casey became great single talents, rising up quickly in the ranks of the EWC. Phillip quickly became a fan favorite, using his microphone skills to entice his fans.

With his excellent ability to please the crowd with his charisma, and his ability to defeat his opponents with his superior athletic ability, he won and lost every belt in the EWC except the EWC title. Phillip soon began a feud with a man called "Wreckage," who was the EWC Champion, and a great talent himself. After winning the right, Phillip got his chance to fight for the EWC title, during that heated match, Casey came out in hopes to help his longtime friend gain an advantage and brought a chair to ringside. While the ref was distracted, Casey, who was known as Genesis, swung his chair at Wreckage, who was right of Exodus, with his back toward Exodus. Wreckage ducked and Genesis cracked the chair over the head of his friend, Exodus. Genesis panicked and jumped from ringside and ran back into the locker room. Exodus lost his match, and developed bad blood for who he thought was a friend. Soon enough, Genesis shared his bad blood and the two became bitter enemies. After the longest running feud in EWC history, Exodus and Genesis had the last match they would ever be in together. Halfway into there "Caged Fury" match, a match in which the two men were put against each other in an enclose cage (Hell in a cell), Genesis performed a powerbomb from the top of the cage, and threw Exodus to the ground below. Exodus landed on the top of his back, fracturing his vertebrate in two places.

He was rushed to the hospital, his career seemed to be at an end. Genesis accompanied him into the ER, and met up with him the next week. The two talked, Genesis apologizing for his disgraceful tactics, and promising Exodus he would help him in any way possible. The next year was hell, Exodus worked vigorously until he could walk again. Exodus then became set on returning to the ring, but he wouldn't do it until he was better than he was before his fall. He traveled to Korea, and improved greatly as he trained under Kim Chang, a legend in Korean wrestling. He returned after two years of training and moved to New York. He now searches to prove his newly developed skills to everyone who thought him broken.
