Bio / Background:
Born in Hollywood, CA in March 1979, Darien Sunn was born to former 3-Time Middleweight World Champion Boxer 'Kid America' Landon Sunn and Hollywood Starlet Addy-Marie Staelin. Due to his father's athletic nature and his mother's cinematic notoriety, it was pre-destined that Darien would follow in the family business of entertaining millions. In the early part of his life, he was the typical California kid, splitting his time between the beach and T.V., but when adolescence hit, his life took a drastic turn. It was then that he began training to follow in his father's footsteps as a professional athlete. From Junior High School through College, Darien lettered in Football, Track and Boxing. Upon graduating from college, Darien continued on with Boxing, and in his first year, held a record of 6-0. However, when he turned 22 he decided to try a new field, and began training to be a professional wrestler. He's worked on cards for the last three years all around the independents in USA, Canada, Mexico and Japan, starting to make a name for himself. It seemed only a matter of time before he made it into a top federation and held championship gold.

And that's exactly what happened. Debuting in ESW on the 12/12/05 edition of Mayhem, Sunn showed that he was to be the soon to be Shining Star, demolishing opponent after opponent, leading to a Survivor Championship victory in only his third match. In early 2006, Sunn continued his streak by beating all the odds and earning himself a title shot at the Soul Surivivor Tournament. From there he picked up the TV Title twice and finally the World Championship, claiming his self-proclaimed spot as the "Top of the ESW Food Chain". In only 5 months, he had won every singles title there is to win, and faster than anyone else had done it in ESW history.

Over the course of the rest of the year, with Steve Sinclair & Co. doing whatever they could to strip him of the title and get him out of the ESW, Darien Sunn held onto the ESW World Championship, against all odds, for a record 230 days, losing it at Merry Mayhem in a most controversial fashion, with Slipstream and Shawn Sanders double pinning him for co-ownership of the title. Growing tired of the constant surprise attacks and referee corruption used against him to nullify his victories, Darien ripped up his contract and left the ESW.

Darien disappeared for over 18 months, leaving the country without anyway for the federation, or his fans, to contact him, until suddenly in October of 2008, he reappeared, posing as a cameraman during an interview with then champion, Brian Hunter. Over the next few weeks, he brought the Darien Sunn the fans once new back to ESW, but this time, with a more mature focus.

At the 12/09/08 episode of Mayhem, after defeating Kid Krazy and starting his third reign as TV Champion, he offered him his hand in alliance against Brian Hunter and Bison Steel, and furthermore, against all the young blood parading themselves around as greater than they are, never having had to stand their ground against the greats of ESW's Golden Era.
