JACOBS: “The following match is scheduled for one fall…. Introducing first..”
(CUEUP: “Into the Ocean” by Blue October. Tina Davis comes out to the cheers of the crowd followed by her manager Joshua Curtis. They bow at the top of the stairs and continue into the ring.)
JACOBS: “Being led to the ring by her manage, Joshua Curtis …. standing five feet, ten inches and weighing in at 150 pounds… hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada…. TINA …. DAVIS!”
(Curtis an Davis roll into the ring where Curtis takes off Davis’ cape and folds it up.)
JIVE: “She’s got him pussy-whipped.”
(CUEUP: “I Just Want to Celebrate” by Grand Funk Railroad.. the guitar kicks in catching the fans off guard. ‘The Georgia STAR’ Brandon Bray comes from beneath the deck and claps to the music.)
JACOBS: “He stands ….”
BRAY: “Everybody Ce-le-BRAYte!”
(Bray struts to the ring and tosses the mic to the mat as he rolls in and takes off his pre-match shirt, flinging it into the crowd..)
JACOBS: “Six foot four and weighs 223 pounds… from Macon, Georgia…. ‘The Georgia STAR’ BRANDON …. BRAY!”
BRAY: “Ring that shit!”
(SFX: Bell rings.)
GHEORGHE: “Well he certainly is a character!”
JULIUS: “And he’s eying up the ladies in the front row instead of focusing on Tina Davis.”
(Bray winks at a woman in the front row who blows him a kiss.)
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis now calling his attention .. and Bray finally making his way to the center of the ring.”
JIVE: “Bray doesn’t seem to be letting the fact that he’s debuting on a pay per view interfere with his confidence, that’s for sure.”
GHEORGHE: “Davis goes for the lockup, but Brandon Bray quickly ducks underneath and goes behind her…. Davis quickly turns around, and Brandon Bray stands there with a smile. Davis goes at him again, and again Bray ducks underneath. Davis with an open hand slap ….. but Bray ducks once more … and this time he swings behind Davis and locks her arms …. And Bray drops to his knees pinning Davis with a backslide! ONE …. TW--- NO, Davis quickly getting out of the move.”
JULIUS: “Davis let her frustration get to her there and it almost caused there to be a quick conclusion to the match …”
GHEORGHE: “Bray hops to his feet … and here comes Tina Davis! Davis with a clothesline attempt … but Bray ducks underneath! Davis against the far ropes …. She comes back … Flying crossbody! But Bray catches her! Brandon Bray spins around and body slams Davis to the mat!”
JIVE: “Bray is two steps ahead of Davis right now … not a good way to start the match.”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray back on his feet … and now Tina Davis is up as well. Davis holding her lower back … but Bray not laying off as he grabs her by the arm and whips her into the ropes… Davis comes back … and Bray catches her and spins her around with a spinebuster!”
JIVE: “Bray isn’t exactly a heavyweight by any means, but he’s got 70 or so pounds on Davis.”
GHEORGHE: “Well Bray now grabbing the legs of Tina Davis … and he flips her over and applies a Boston Crab!”
JULIUS: “Ah, a move that has been lost on today’s generation.”
GHEORGHE: “He locks the fingers and it looks like Davis has no way of getting out of this move applied by ‘the Georgia STAR’ ..”
JIVE: “Looks like Bray is going to cruise to victory here.”
GHEORGHE: “Davis not giving up though! The referee is down asking if she wants to submit, but Davis giving no indication that she wants to toss in the towel. Bray continues to keep the hold locked on and now he repositions himself to put even more pressure on the lower back.”
JULIUS: “Bray is a great all around talent.. he’s got more talent in his pinky than Davis has throughout her entire body.”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis still fighting the Boston Crab even though she’s in the middle of the ring … and finally Bray releases the hold.”
JIVE: “Dumb move if you ask me … Davis wasn’t going anywhere. It was just a matter of time before she either passed out or submitted.”
GHEORGHE: “Bray is on his feet and patting himself on his back it seems as he stands over Tina Davis with a smile on his face … Bray grabs Davis by the hair and yanks her up .. swift knee to the gut though doubles Davis over … ‘the Georgia STAR” hooks both arms … and takes his opponent up and over with a double underhook butterfly suplex.”
JIVE: “And there’s the cover …. One ….. two … but Davis gets her shoulder up.”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis hasn’t been able to assert herself yet in this match, and the longer she is out of it, the harder it’s going to be for her to get any momentum.”
JULIUS: “Hell, I’m surprised she’s lasted this long … she’s pretty much just lying there like a dead fish.”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis struggling to get back to her feet it seems, so Bray helps her up. Brandon Bray with the whip into the corner and Davis crashes chest first hard into the turnbuckle pad.”
JIVE: “That’s especially painful… unlike some of the other female competitors, Davis doesn’t have any cushion to soften the blow, if you know what I mean.”
GHEORGHE: “NICK!”
JIVE: “Just an observation… jeez.”
GHEORGHE: “Davis stumbling backwards… and Bray charges behind her … AND SLAMS HER HEAD INTO THE MAT WITH A BULLDOG! ‘The Georgia STAR’ now going up top!”
JULIUS: “I’ve heard rave reviews about his aerial ability… and this is the first time he’s going up.”
GHEORGHE: “Davis positioned on the mat …. Bray now steadying himself… and he flies off … and nails the Guillotine Legdrop!”
JIVE: “And from the way Davis reacted, you might have thought he really did chop her head off with that move.”
JULIUS: “How depressing! His first move from the top and he chose that?”
GHEORGHE: “In professional wrestling it is all about choosing the right move at the right time. Davis might be wrestling in a daze right now, but Bray was smart enough to choose a low risk move … and he executed it perfectly.”
JIVE: “And that swishing sound you hear is Gheorghe’s words flying straight over the top of Julius’ head right now..”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray makes the cover once more … one …… two ….. thre—NO. Davis lifts her shoulder up at the last minute. Bray now rolling off his opponent.. and now he grabs her legs … and once more applies the Boston Crab!”
JIVE: “Go with what works, I always say.”
GHEORGHE: “Bray leaning way back on the move this time … and I think he might be going for the quick and easy submission here.”
JULIUS: “Well Davis is certainly not in any better condition than when this move was applied earlier ………. But luckily for her she’s closer to the ring ropes, and she just reached out and grabbed the bottom one.”
GHEORGHE: “The referee now forcing Bray to release the hold, which he does.”
JIVE: “That surely would have been the end of the match had Bray positioned Davis in a similar spot he had earlier.”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis lying on the mat, and tonight she just looks plain out of it.”
JULIUS: “Wouldn’t you if your last match was a tag team match and your opponent was John Doe? She probably hasn’t recovered from the emotional scars.”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis slowly making her way to her feet as Bray looks on…”
JIVE: “This is a bad move on his part… but he’s still a rookie, so to speak, so you can chalk this up to that.”
GHEORGHE: “Davis using the second rope and now the top rope to get back to her feet …. But immediately she is put back down with a clothesline! ‘The Georgia STAR’ now dragging his opponent … and he’s setting her up in front of the corner! Brandon Bray now exits the ring and starts climbing the turnbuckle pads!”
JIVE: “Now you’ll see your high flying shit, Julius.”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray sizing Davis up…. And he flies off … Bray spinning 360 degrees …. BUT DAVIS PUTS HER KNEES UP!”
(SFX: Crowd pops!)
GHEORGHE: “BRAY LANDS ON HIS FEET!! Brandon Bray overshot Tina Davis once he saw her knees go up and he lands on his feet …. Bray now charges against the far ropes and comes back .. AND BASEBALL SLIDES RIGHT INTO THE HEAD OF TINA DAVIS!”
JULIUS: “That’ll teach her for trying to interfere with ‘the Georgia STAR’..”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray grabs Tina Davis and he’s bringing her into the corner…. Bray lifts Davis up… and HE IS PLACING HER ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Tina Davis has no clue where she’s at …. And now Brandon Bray is climbing up behind her!”
JIVE: “Bray has come to BANNED in the US ready to put on a show … and he’s totally outclassing Tina Davis!”
GHEORGHE: “Bray now on the top rope and he stands Davis up as well… BUT DAVIS TOSSES A BACK ELBOW! Bray gets popped in the jaw … but he doesn’t stop! Davis tries desperately with another elbow, but this time Bray avoids it …. AND BRAY GRABS THE WAIST OF DAVIS AND PROPELS BOTH OF THEM OFF THE TOP ROPE! SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!”
(SFX: Crowd pops!)
JIVE: “What a maneuver!”
GHEORGHE: “Both wrestlers on the mat … and now Brandon Bray rolls over and makes the cover! ONE …………… TWO ………………. THREE!!!”
JULIUS: “Tina Davis SOMEHOW got out!”
GHEORGHE: “The referee quickly pops up and throws two fingers in the air …. Tina Davis miraculously got her shoulder up after that Super German Suplex!”
JIVE: “The ring probably vibrated..”
JULIUS: “Is your luggage under there?”
GHEORGHE: “Both competitors still on the mat … that move certainly looked to slow down Brandon Bray as much as it slowed down Tina Davis.”
JULIUS: “Let’s face it … Bray is just dominating this match.”
GHEORGHE: “Anything can change at any moment, Dean…”
JULIUS: “I know this is *professional wrestling, but let’s not get too stuck in fairyland.”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray getting back to his feet … and he’s looking around the ring.. Bray reaches down and grabs Tina Davis by her hair … and now he’s walking her over to the corner!”
JIVE: “Bray’s not one to waste any time, it seems.. he doesn’t seem phased at all by making his debut here at BANNED in the US … he’s taking it to Tina Davis.”
GHEORGHE: “Bray seems to be in his element here… and now he wraps his arm around the waist of Davis and plops her on the top turnbuckle pad!”
JULIUS: “One impact move after another coming up here …”
GHEORGHE: “Bray now going up top as well …. And he has Davis hooked ……. AND A BIIIIIIIIG SUPERPLEX!!! There’s no way Davis can continue to take this punishment. Bray with the cover …. ONE ………………. TWO ……………….. THREE---NOO!! How the hell Tina Davis is managing to kick out of these moves I don’t know, but Bray is throwing everything at her!”
JIVE: “I think Bray hasn’t even scratched the surface of what he’s capable of, Gheorghe.. he’s got a very bright future here in New ERA if you ask me!”
GHEORGHE: “Bray sits up and tosses a look of displeasure over at Joshua Curtis who is pounding the ring apron trying to get Davis back in the fight…”
JULIUS: “From the looks of it, Curtis might as well have pushed a corpse down in a wheel chair … Davis hasn’t shown any ounce of competitiveness.”
GHEORGHE: “Brandon Bray hops back up to his feet and is now standing over Tina Davis … and now he nudges her with his foot!”
JIVE: “I can see it in his eyes, Gheorghe… Bray is ready to finish her off!”
GHEORGHE: “That just may be the case, Nick… Bray reaches down … and grabs the head of Tina Davis.. Bray brings her to her feet … and hiptosses Davis to the mat! Bray drops the leg across the throat of his opponent … and now wrenches the arm back! Tina Davis struggling to get out of the hold …. AND SHE KNICKS UP! Brandon Bray looks shocked!”
JULIUS: “Where the hell did that come from?!”
GHEORGHE: “Bray scrambles to his feet … and he is met with a right hand! Tina Davis just came out of nowhere! Davis with another right hand! Davis against the ropes … CLOTHES—NO!!! Brandon Bray catches her! Bray … BRAY HAS HER UP IN A TORTURE RACK ………………… AND HE HITS THE REVERSE DVD!!!”
JIVE: “It’s over! That’s the Ball Game!”
GHEORGHE: “Bray with the nonchalant cover ……… ONE …………………. TWO ……………………….. THREE!!!”
(SFX: Bell rings.)
JACOBS: “The winner of this match via pinfall ….. ‘the Georgia STAR’ …. BRANDON …. BRAY!”
GHEORGHE: “Tina Davis’ spurt of momentum was quickly squashed by Brandon Bray… and he comes out victorious in his debut match here at BANNED in the US!”
JULIUS: “Davis waited too long to try to make a comeback … and I’m still in doubt of whether she even was conscious…”
GHEORGHE: “Congrats to Bray on a very, very convincing victory … he made short work out of Tina Davis here tonight.”
JIVE: “Hopefully he’ll have a chance to show us what he can do against a REAL opponent soon enough.”
(CUTTO: The upper ring. The cleaning crew is finishing off cleaning up after the Desert Death match from earlier, and is now working with the maintenance crew on swinging around the crane from the earlier Walk the Plank match.)
GHEORGHE: “And as you see … we’re getting ready for our next match … the PRODIGY© Classic Xtreme Championship is on the line as Chaos defends his title against Jason Payne… and lord only knows why the crew on deck is repositioning the crane…. But we’re going to find out very shortly…”
JULIUS: “I can already smell the sweet aroma of flesh blood being spilled.”
GHEORGHE: “You, my friend, need to see a psychiatrist as soon as we get back to the States…”
