Dominic Pericolo:\\ Return To The City

Ion toppled off the side of the mountain, falling in a manner very much similar to the way that I myself fell of so long ago. I drooped my eyes and sighed, toppling back to the ground and looking up at the ceiling of this cave in the mountain with tears dripping slowly from my eyes.

"This pain...it needs to stop. I don't know if I can handle this much longer, Capital City is pretty much dead and slowly the world is following suit, and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. All I can do is fight a few people looking to face me on my way to watch the final battle, what kind of a fucking hero am I?!"

A fallen hero.

Dominic Pericolo had become a true fallen hero, or as many would call it...a tragic hero. Gone were the days of him being the champion of Northern Capital City, he was nothing more then a memory to the people now. To them he was dead, a failed attempt at ursurping Super Sharp and their final hope vanished. Dominic Pericolo was indeed the last chance for Capital City, and he had failed them.

Chris Champion, however, was the last hope for the world. And there was no way DOminic would let him fail now, he had to be there for him.

"Finally...we meet again, Dominic." a voice whispered through the darkness. Dominic opened his eyes fully and stared across the cave at Matthew Christ, who wore a cross necklace with a strange looking mini-disco ball dangling from it's end.

...and was that a mini chainsaw that was sprouting from the top of the cross? Christ, this man was strange.

"Regretfully," Dominic said as he staggered to his feet and smiled a little, shaking off the pain coursing throughout his entire being, "I have places I need to go. I have no time for you, Matthew, you might as well get out of my way now."

Christ, however, had called his bluff. Though Dominic had defeated Matthew in the past he still was tired and weak from all of the battles he'd been in. Matt was primed and ready to take advantage of this fact.

"Oh ho, quite the mouth you have on you now eh?" he said with a smirk, taking a step forward. In an instant, Dominic felt a jabbing pain in his leg as Logan sent an energy blast into him, laughing as Dominic flew through the air and slammed into the cave wall. It felt as though millions of hornets had escaped the proverbial hive and came flying straight for Dominic's leg, their stingers plunging like swords through his skin and injecting him with their poison.

"F-FUCK!" cried Dominic, grabbing at his leg in pain. He could feel a few tears of pain slip from his eyes, he had all ready gone through so much, and now Matthew Christ was attempting to put an end to him.

Another blast, this time catching Dominic square in the chest. Dominic drove back into the cave wall, crying out in pain and slumping slightly, panting heavily.

"Tsk tsk...this is not the same Pericolo I remember fighting all those times in the past. Where's the challenge, Dominic? Where's your big talk now?" taunted Christ, throwing forth another blast that rocked Dominic's body with the force of a nuclear warhead.

Dominic's lungs felt as though at any moment they would collapse from the very pain they felt each time Dominic forced another breath of air into them.

"I'm going to finally get the chance to do what Super Sharp didn't have the power to...I'm going to kill you Dominic, to end your legacy." Christ said, lifting his powerful staff in the air now and aiming it at Dominic.

However, Dominic was no longer there. With a startled cry Matt turned right into a powerful right from the man who could now be known as the tragic hero, who could now be known as the failure of a savior.

"YOU CAN'T STOP ME, MATTHEW!" he cried, his voice bellowing in a way that the mighty Zeus himself would cover his ears in pain and disbelief. Dominic barreled through the cave, plowing into Christ and sending him slamming into the same cave wall that Matthew had slammed him into.

Stumbling backwards, Dominic braced himself into a fighting stance with his chest rising and falling, the painful and ragged breaths he drew in shaking him to his bone. But he was far too determined to fall here, he was far too determined to give in now.

"My name...is Dominic Pericolo." he said with a grunt of pain, wiping the blood from his lips with his eyes focused in a glare on the now rising Matthew Christ, "And this...this is my story. I'll be damned to let it end here, Matthew...especially by your hands."

Dominic felt his power surge within him, as electricity crackled and whipped about his body, as if dancing one final dance with one another in preperation for their finale. Dominic was not satisfied with this ending, he would not die fighting this multi-personality'd freak of nature.

"This...is for everything." he whispered, the very essence of his power whipping through his veins and speeding up his vertebre, empowering him in a manner that he hadn't felt since the day he faced Super Sharp himself. The ground cracked and split underneath him, the force of his power breaking and tearing at the ground itself.

"Let's do this." Matthew said darkly, hunkering himself down.

And so the battle cry sounded--the fight had begun.
