With a groan, Dominic found himself awakening to the sound of the television blaring. He blinked his eyes several times, looking around him. He and Suki had fallen asleep together watching television the night before, he remembered, seeing her form resting next to him. He looked over at the television to see the old Superman show playing, with Superman flying through the air. Dominic sighed, reaching over for the remote and flipping off the television. Silence filled the room.

Dominic stretched himself out gently and stood up, looking around at his surroundings. The stockings still hung, the Christmas tree was still there. Morning sunlight was passing through the window curtains and filtering into the room, lighting it up with a soft, almost gentle light. Dominic smiled, walking towards the bathroom to ready himself for the day ahead. He had alot of training to do, if he was going to be able to take on Matthew Logan AND Ian in the same night on Friday.

Entering the bathroom to get dressed, Dominic allowed his mind to drift to what he had in store on Eve. It would truly be a difficult night for him and many others. Chris Champion would be facing Steve Sharp in one of the hardest matches he'll eer face, even moreso difficult then their School House Brawl all those months ago.

Hard to believe how far they'd came since then. Once bitter rivals, now close friends. Dominic chuckled softly, putting on his black muscle shirt. He grabbed his pair of blue jeans off the countertop, putting them on as well and buttoning them up. Looking in the mirror, Dominic frowned slightly.

"Do they still really see me as a hero...?" he thought to himself outloud. Despite his loss to Steve Sharp those few months ago, it seemed as though his fans were remaining loyal to him, cheering him on and encouraging him to keep fighting. He had came so close back then to taking down Sharp, so close he could nearly feel the world title in his hands.

He turned with a sigh, pushing past the bathroom door and re-entering the main room. He looked over at Suki, who appeared to slowly be waking up as well. With a smile he stepped over to the bed, gently placing his hand on her cheek and stepping down to a knee to get eye level with her. She looked at him with sleepy eyes and a smile, causing Dominic's heart to skip a beat.

"Good morning." she said groggily. Dominic smiled.

"Morning." he said softly, "I'm going to be heading out to train for awhile...you want to come with me?"

Suki chuckled softly, stretching herself out on the bed and then slowly rolling off of it, stretching out her muscles some more.

"Sure thing." she said with a smile, "Just let me get dressed."

Dominic nodded, "I'll go get some breakfast. You want anything in particular?"

"Hmm...I suppose pancakes wouldn't be all that bad." she said, walking over to the bathroom and stepping in the doorframe. Dominic patted his pocket, making surehis wallet was inside, before nodding and smiling over at Suki.

"Pancakes it is, I'll be back in awhile." he said, throwing her a thumbsup and smiling a little more. She gave him a smile in return and gently closed the bathroom door, as Dominic walked for the front door and opened it, stepping outside into the sun.

Though his thoughts were on food and breakfast, as pancakes did sound quite good at that time, they were also still on Eve. Dominic was attempting to mentally prepare himself while he could. There was no doubt that Matthew Logan, though probably not as serious about the match as he was wishing to be able to take out Dominic once and for all, would be preparing for their match all week. Dominic intended upon doing the same.

He had been on a winning streak since his return, and he didn't plan on letting it end at Eve. It was time to go back to where he was on that night he took on Sharp, it was time to return to grace once again.

It was time...for the hero to be born again.
