(Scene- an empty gym, an amateur wrestling mat, a lone figure is applying holds, and practicing suplexes with a practice dummy. As the camera zooms in, it reveals this figure to be "The King of the backyards" DC Stratton. His left knee is not only taped, but it has a full brace on it. He doesn't notice Neil Riddick walking up to him.)
STRATTON: (looking up and abruptly stopping) Neil! I didn't see you....(stops to catch his breath)
RIDDICK: Obviously...now tell me just what you think you are doing?
STRATTON: Working out...
RIDDICK: Why like this? I thought we agreed that you were going to practice your "off the cuff" techniques?
STRATTON: Well, I just thought....
RIDDICK: You thought what? That you would do something else with your "career"? Are you forgetting that I'm the one who got you that career? Are you forgetting that I might just know what I'm doing when I tell you how to train?
STRATTON: I was completely into it, and I still am, but ever since Manson screwed up my knee, I got to thinking. What if I can't do that stuff anymore one day? I gotta be able to do somethin' else.
RIDDICK: That happened because you got sloppy...you shouldn't have let him get you in that position...
STRATTON: (Getting annoyed) With all due respect, I didn't see you doing anything about it.
RIDDICK: (Trying to be a calming voice) DC, I understand what is happening to you, trust me, I do. I want you to have a long career as well, how else am I going to get my money out of you...(Stratton looks straight through him) HA HA HA (Stratton laughs as well) I understand that you want to make sure you're not a one-hit wonder, but trust me, people will pay more to see you as an anti-hero who will fly all around the ring. You'llmake a lot of money doing it, and I'll be right there with you....
STRATTON: What about this? (points to knee)
RIDDICK: That's what cortizone is for.
STRATTON: All right, if you say that's what I need to do, than I trust you.....(Stratton walks off camera)
RIDDICK: (to himself) You'd better, you stupid punk....
(Scene fades as Riddick shoves the camera to the floor.)
