Personality:
Diego is all about fairness, honor, and respect. He doesn't care about winning if it costs him his dignity. If someone came into the ring and attacked his opponent in his line of sight he'd refuse the win. He'll absolutely refuse to use any cheap trick. This includes illegal holds or moves that garner a five count and a warning from the ref, weapons or attacks with weapons/environments. He doesn't see honor in winning via countout or by disqualification either. He'll always try to end his matches in the ring, and if it's a "falls count anywhere" match, he'll opt to do that too, but if he can't help it. He wants to prove that in today's society, it's still possible to win fair and clean. He's also very, VERY, quiet.
Wrestling Style:
There are two things to remember about Diego's wrestling style. He's a striker/all arounder but he has shades of a technitian and two, he'll break his holds no matter what advantage he has over an opponent. He will not use his technical skills offensively, he refuses to do that. (to be addressed in a later storyline)
If he had a real life equivalent it would be CM Punk. He's supposed to hit, *hard*. When he's able to mount any kind of an offense. He has been a martial artist for over a decade, practicing kickboxing for most of it. So any knee strikes, elbows and kicks will hurt. He does know basic wrestling moves, hip tosses, leg sweeps, some suplexes and body slams but strikes will be thoroughly in the mix and will likely have a more lasting effect
He will stop himself cold if there's a moment where his opponent looks helpless to unable to defend themselves against offense or an opponent botches themselves and hurts themselves unintentionally. He will not chase someone outside of the ring unless they earned his ire, then he'll try to throw them back into it. Some wrestlers with glass jaws may try to cover up, and in place of that he'll opt for a quick body slam/suplex/hip toss/leg takedown.
He avoids strikes to the back of his opponents head, the sides and fronts are a different matter altogether. And his technical ability only manifests itself defensively.
Usual Match Tactics: (clean)
Squeaky clean. Diego is a classic face. Vulnerable to tricks and deception. If he inadvertedly hits a ref, he'll stop his offense to check and make sure that they're alright. He'll try to aim most of his strikes to someone's head and do them at random so that they're not expected. He will avoid kicks to the backs of peoples heads and punches too.
Usual Spots / Gimmicks:
When Diego's about a mount some serious offense and open up a can after being beat up. He should kip up. That signals to the crowd (without taunting) that he's about to take things to the next level.
He has a few combinations that'll use:
Throwing an opponent to the turnbuckle > running knee to the face > Monkey Flip
Thai Clinch with a few knees (or kicks if they're too tall) to the body.
A combo before his finisher:
Right Slap > Left Slap > Spinning backfist > High kick to the temple > Roaring Elbow finisher.
His non-strike abilities are to throw opponents off kilter and keep them guessing as to what he'll do next.
