Justin said in the Show Posted thread to use it for feedback.

James had a brainstorm and thought that y'all might not be posting feedback because you didn't read and notice that.

So like feed the back. We(me) want to know what you guys thought of the show!

FEEDBACK!1

This most likely isn't going to be in chronological order, so yeah.

* I liked the twist that Kevin went with that resulted in Sawyer finally getting this match made between he and Heidi. Plus what I have read since returning has made the build up very nice.

* If you've been looking at the blast group, you know that I have been marking out for this new plot twist to CVC and STJ. Depending how they play this, it could be fucking sweet dudes. Like Real Housewives fucked Jersey Shore and moved to Kentucky. #teamCVC or #teamSTJ who ya got?

* Seriously, anything with Cancer talking or just "being Cancer" is aces. The bit with Tom and everyone crowded into his room and then his turn at commentary in the main event was spiffy.

* I dug my own match, Hurley did a good job with it. The breakneck pace of it makes sense in that Ty's coming back for his first "real match" and is all amped up and then you have Heidi who is just a psychopath right now. If Renee is down, I'm game for turning this into something more at a later date, I think Heidi and Ty could produce some more entertaining violence.

* The Dan Ryan seg felt more like it should have been an rp. It was good, but it felt weird in the setting of the show.

Everything else was good, but I'm mostly trying to pick up and follow the character interaction so I can understand what's going on around here. I'm not much for commenting on match writing because it can be vastly different from writer to writer.

All in all, I know now why I need to start reading cards start to finish.

So good job, all.

On to the next one.

The one prevailing thought I had was that this show was very much fun to read. I'm not sure I thought this was our best quality card...aside from the main event it doesn't stack up to War Games, Untouchable, or the GCL finals in terms of match quality or big-moment feelings. But the stories are well connected, they're progressing, and they're starting to overlap some.

-Heidi gets full marks for heel of the night. Feeding Tom indirectly to Dentari and The Moral Majority, well done.
-Curious as to what is going on with Ty/Ry/Horry.
-Cancer Jiles brings everyone's game up a notch, which is exactly what you want from your World Champion.
-Tom gets face of the night. Much of the overarching story of the card was the setup for the Tom/Heidi match at Ascension.
-I was able to read almost this entire card from top to bottom without skimming the first time through. For someone with my attention span, that is huge, and mad sloppy props to everyone who had a hand in that.
-Well done to whoever wrote my match.

It would appear that we're dealing with either mass apathy, or everyone's forgotten that I just won't post a lineup until there's feedback. I don't mind it, either, gives me time to not have to think about efeds.

So, go on, don't do feedback.

I need a vacation.

- I loved all the Heidi stuff, like ALL the Heidi stuff. If WWE knew how to carry one solid character driven storyline through an episode of Raw like that we'd all watch Raw religiously like we did back in the 90's. Troof.

- Dentari / Sawyer was very well written.

- Good segs from CVC. The descriptions of the fans were priceless.

- Weed seg. = Holy fuck. Each and every card Tom becomes more and more my favorite character.

- lol clever seg from Python. But I don't use THAT MUCH alliteration. Ya' wee weak bastard.

- James and rockin' the shit this card. I love writing matches with Ty so keep it up, lol.

- A tazer? lol We're officially WCW. Jokes. But honestly I call dibs on Scott Steiner.

- Want more Shadowmen. Strange combo, but very good stuff.

- Tom and Eugene are such bros.

- I love Chance holding the SHT. Just fits.

- Dan Ryan's Bronson seg was epic, good work man.

- The main event was balls to the wall. That golden slot though, wow. Again with the excellent Heidi narrative. I'm glad I got to contribute to it with the Moral Majority seg. The way it all bookended with Heidi and Dane. Kudos guys.

Some of the transitions were a LITTLE clunky, but that's just the nature of the collabrotive thing. The fact we can, via like ten fucking dudes, have a show that flows as well as that one does is a credit to our ability as storytellers.

And a couple of the matches were formatted a little weird and / or were really short. But all and all a really fantastic card.

Back at last from a week of house sitting for a friend with little to no wireless connection. That said, everything else about her place was a zillion and one times nicer than mine, so I can't reallyyyy complain. But still. Good to be back to teh internets.

-But I don't use THAT MUCH alliteration. Ya' wee weak bastard.

Ahh I know. Just a little nod to how much I dig it when you do :p

Match of the Night:
The main event. Hell of a match.Really really well written, great job.

Segment of the Night:
Hard to choose, but... the ending. Wowza. Heidi leading Sawyer to The Moral Majority was also fantastic.

And OHMYGOD Tom Sawyer and the weed. Hardest I've laughed out loud while reading a show in a long time. And it receives an additional ten thousand points of greatness for the appearance of Shiamond Dazam.

Surprise of the Night:
Sawyer's path turning away from the Ladder War and culminating in the announcement of The Aggro Crag. Sooo stoked for this already based on what I've been seeing from Kevin on the news board.

Holy Shit Moment of the Night:
Python kicking out of The Bombasto Bomb

Babyface of the Night:
Tom Sawyer. Amen.

Heel of the Night:

On the results page - Heidi. On the boards - Chance von Crank. Dude's work rate is outstanding, character is consistently entertaining, and he makes a damn good SH champ.

MVP of the Night (IC):

If I were to exclude the few characters I just mentioned above... Eric Dane. Love seeing this side of him trying to deal with Heidi and everything else that he feels he needs to put back in place, and he really stepped up at the end of the show to remind us all why he is who he is.

Best Line of the Night:

Angus:
BLACK SUPERMAN, KEEBS! BLACK FUCKIN’ SUPERMAN!

What Ruled?

The collaborations and commitment to storylines

What Sucked?

The boards could definitely have been hit a little harder in general during the rp period. Hoping to see a bump in roster productivity leading into the next show.

Whatever Else You Can Think Of:

I dig Tyrone Walker more and more literally every time he does anything. Superb character and always a great read whether he's on the boards, between matches, or in the ring.

I'm 100% sold on and subscribed to the direction of the new Eugene Dewey.

Dan Ryan's seg kicked ass. Granted, it was mentioned earlier in this thread that it read more like an RP, but just because we're used to seeing promos in RPs doesn't mean that they have no place on a card. I thought it was killer.

Seth Stratton has totally earned my attention.

Very solid show. Can't wait to keep the ball rolling.

Okay so being a newb and this being my first card experiencing a full read of it, here are my thoughts.

-Intrigued by what could be brewing surrounding Christian Light.
-Enjoyed everything Cancer did, easily the best interactions of the night for the Champ.
-I like 54th the entire notion of the stroke of genius that was Heidi leading Tom to the MM.
-Yes, Dan Ryan's seg felt more like an RP than a seg, but it was still pretty damn good.
-The Sawyer/Dentari and Walker/Heidi matches were two of the best pieces of match writing I've seen in a bit. I was riveted by both.
-And btw, fuckin kudos to the opening segment with Dane/Heidi. That was some kickass writing too.

Starting to feel like I may be in over my head here, but then again I'm not on my own...if I was, I'd probably be fucked.

Amazingly done show overall. *thumbs up*

Yeah, the Dan Ryan segment actually WAS meant to be a second RP, but I ran out of time up against a deadline at work. Thought about posting it on the RP board after deadline, but then thought more people would read it if I made it a segment for the show, and Justin agreed.

Also thought stylistically it would be something people would really like or hate, so I'm glad everyone seemed to like it.

Just getting home from an all-weekend baseball tourney for my son (in 96 degree heat), so I'll give some further feedback in the morning.

I almost never do feedback because I don't know wrestling well enough to read results critically and i always feel like my opinions are useless, but here goes.

Match of the Night: The main event. Although Sawyer/Dentari and Dewey/Stratton were both very good.

Segment of the Night: Not counting anything Heidi was in? Definitely the weed seg. Tom Sawyer's such a perfect little babyface.

Surprise of the Night: Can't really think of one.

Holy Shit Moment of the Night: Christian Light trying to kill Kai Scott.

Babyface of the Night: Sawyer. He's so perfectly facey.

Heel of the Night: Chance Von Crank. He's totally a card carrying heel and so obviously proud of it, you just want to kick his face in.

MVP of the Night (IC): Python with the main event win.

Best Line of the Night:
Cancer Jiles:

You are so uncool that you made the name identifier for my speech lose the COOL signifier for a time.

What Ruled?: The job everyone did with the Heidi/Tom Sawyer segments. Most of the matches. CVC vs Tucker.

What Sucked? I want to see much much more from the Christian Light Kai Scott feud. Brian and Lee are two of the best efedders in the game, I want to see Light and Scott doing awesome things.

Whatever Else You Can Think Of: Umm... sorry. nothing's coming to mind.

Match of the Night: Has to be the main event.

Segment of the Night: The Champ’s executive weed party, to which I wasn’t invited because apparently I’m not ‘good people’.

Surprise of the Night: Tom Sawyer getting all torture porn’d. After last week, no one could’ve seen that coming. (But seriously, if Tom and Eugene Dewey stumble into a pawn shop next week and end up gagged in the basement… I’ll write it. Just putting my name in the hat.)

Holy Shit Moment of the Night:
cVc arriving via helicopter. He takes it to the skies, and I respect that.

Babyface of the Night:
Eugene Dewey. Takes the loss like a champ, and still has energy left to unfetter his buddy. Bonds like that, they never break.

Heel of the Night: Virginia Quell, for the previously mentioned chaining. Or Bronson Box, because he was kind of a dick, too. Or Heidi. You just don’t steal a man’s motorcycle unless you need it to protect the future leader of the human resistance.

MVP of the Night (IC):
I’ll go with Python.

Best Line of the Night:

Tom Sawyer:
GET THE FIRE ALARM! PULL, AIM, SQUEEZE AND SWEEP!

What Ruled?
Eric Dane going all Guantanamo on fools. Wait, that didn’t rule, that was a grievous violation of human rights. I’m calling the ACLU.

What Sucked?
The only thing I can think of are the couple of formatting errors.

Whatever Else You Can Think Of:
I think if the next two applications are for ‘Jim Croce’ and ‘Jackson Browne’ we’ll have a fantastic new trios team on our hands.

Great show. I like the whole flow of the card, the opening was brilliant and lead the way for the rest of the entire card.

Match of the Night:

The Main Event, Great match. Written to perfection and how about my boy winning? Awesome. Ty and Heidi's match was off the fucking chain as was Dewey vs. Stratton. I loved Sawyer and Dentari's match as well because how fucking awesome is that match? Great fucking card.

Segment of the Night:

The opening segment was epic. Eric Dane is what I look for in a boss. He is losing money and has her mouth duc taped? I mean that is good shit. I kept wondering "what will happen next between these two?" this whole card.

Surprise of the Night:

Turner stealing my ho, yo.

Holy Shit Moment of the Night:

Dane and Heidi

Babyface of the Night:

Sawyer. I will give you the signal. I just loved that shit lol. Great match with Dentari too.

Heel of the Night:
Heidi was. She is one of my favorite characters and alongside Box as one of my two favorite heel's in this entire fed. She was the Heel of the night, no doubt about that.

MVP of the Night (IC):

Python. Hell fucking yeah, Greg!

Best Line of the Night:

Can't pick, it's these two.

Tom Sawyer:

So... Are we gonna fight now?

&

Tom Sawyer:
How will I know if it works?

COOL Cancer Jiles:

I will give you a signal.

[Pause.]

COOL Cancer Jiles:
The signal will be that life is awesome.

What Ruled?

Dan Ryan's bravery. I liked the seg man. Dentari vs. Tom Sawyer ruled. So did Heidi and Ty. I loved working with Pierson and i love the heat on the Southern Heritage title right now. Cancer Jiles and Tom Sawyer smoking weed is the greatest shit ever. Oh yeah and MR. COOL IS STILL WORLD CHAMP! That always rules.

What Sucked?

We Want Andrews.

Whatever Else You Can Think Of:

Kevin's work on this card shows big time. I appreciate everyone's comments on my work rate but it's no where close to Kevin's. I'm very interested in the Shadowmen too. I just fucking love that name, "Shadowmen". I like Ty Walker and his work. I think he's legit. I spent an hour working on my formatting and my computer just would not cooperate guys. I mean its a real piece of shit, I've been saving for a new laptop though. I'll have the formatting down by this show, swear. I appreciate all the comments and thank you all, I'm having more fun in Defiance than I ever have had in my 17 years in this hobby. Thank you all for that.

Match of the Night: Sawyer/Dentari. I might be a little biased but The match was great and Dentari was written brilliantly.

Segment of the Night: I'll copy everyone and say the weed seg.

Surprise of the Night: AGRO CRAAAAAAAAAAAG!

Holy Shit Moment of the Night: Light going batshit.

Babyface of the Night:
Tom Sawyer hands down.

Heel of the Night: CVC, and he'll always get my vote as long as he stays as much of an unlikeable prick as he is.

MVP of the Night (IC): Tom Sawyer. Kid shows up all over the card every week gets his ass handed to him and still looks like gold.

Best Line of the Night: The signal will be that life is awesome.

What Ruled?: A lot. Guys are stepping it up, not many people are flaking. Python and Seth Stratton are all going to be ones to watch as long as they stick around, which I really hope they do.

What Sucked? Did I miss a segment involving Seth Stratton?

Whatever Else You Can Think Of: Loved Jiles on commentary. We need to so more stuff like that. Especially with CVC, get a headset on him.

Follow-up genius underrated lines:

Angus:
Did you just say the boss had a little dick?

DDK:
I would kill your children, of there were any women desperate enough to become a mother that she let you touch her for five seconds. Heathen.
