For those about to rock...

Then you should read this.

First of all, the rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. If things have been misunderstood, let me be the first to say that I am as big of a part of NFW as I have always been. At some point earlier this year, some bad salad led to a lost organ and I had time to think about NFW.

And more time.

And more time.

Through those thoughts and observing the surrounding environment during that time, my motivations and inspirations for writing started to clarify for me.

I like to experiment. And with no pun intended, I like to mix chemicals to create a different element than what is expected. Experimentation was becoming limited. While NFW was becoming fun in some respects, it was old, tired and repetitive to me in so many others.

And thanks to the state of Wisconsin, I had plenty of enough time to realize the crossroads in front of NFW.

JN and myself started this in 2000. And I can't help but have total tons of fun when I'm fantasy booking a fake wrestler wrestling fed with him. I found a co-mad scientist and NFW became our laboratory. It's as ridiculous as it sounds, but it's true. The fun has always been in creating, crafting and presenting this weird thing on our own terms for anyone that likes to be involved.

And running NFW together had slipped away from that. It had gotten away from me in certain ways. Changes needed to happen. The manifesto was written by myself, by JN as much as it was written and then posted by GG. It's to declare our purpose in NFW as we envision it, it is being transparent about what we are writing for.

In the last couple of months, GG has volunteered to step up in helping to plan and write Reloaded 16/17. Yes, this is different than before. For the first time in 12 years, not all booking decisions are being made by myself and JN. And please understand that 85% of booking decisions through the 12 years have been discussed by myself and JN. And the NFW East days make up 14% of that difference... and anything related to Mittens Varga making up that last 1. GG's changed the course of NFW history through his ideas, there's never any debating that considering the moments they created. We can all only debate whether JN or myself were crazy enough to green-light it or not at the time.

Maybe I'll run the next cycle, maybe it will be JN, maybe it will be GG.

Things will be different. Things will change. Things will hopefully keep flowing.

But I know for the first time in a long time, I'm excited to move forward, we are motivated by the stories we haven't gotten to write yet and characters we have not developed in a true homegrown sense. I am not concerned with how many people want to share the crazy journey or how long it will last from here. All I care about is having fun with those that are crazy enough to jump in just to see what happens.

I'm not going to post anything else in this thread, I only wanted to clear up any misconceptions or perceptions currently existing as life takes my time away from being a constant and continuing presence on these forums.

And for those that still want to rock with NFW... as always, I will eventually try to write a match that flips your lid one day. That's what I do.
