Awwwwwwwww yeah, I used to love that song.

Anyway, I'm headed back tomorrow.

A few notes about the two cards coming up - JN JUST got everything about 24 hours ago for Crashmas. So that's why it wasn't posted. Wasn't his fault, so don't go there. I'll just tell him to forward everything to me.

Then, Crashmas will be posted and I'll be putting up the All-Star Week lineup. I think only a few matches were signed for that, so you'll have this week to RP for them.

War Games participants - I'm saying this now to totally deflate all of you. I've already booked the ending. Whether you want to RP or not for it, I thought I should be fair and state this.

Anyway, hope everyone had a kickass New Years and get ready for NFW 2004 as I'm making the guarantee that starting on All-Star Night, its gonna shake up these boards quite heavily. :)

Ummmmm

I hate to be the guy complaining, but you DID just say you were god-booking the War Games, right? Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't points being awarded on this? So how do you decide who gets points and who doesn't? You claim that our RP's will have nothing to do with it, and yet, if we're all vying for Ultratitle, someone (hell, could be me for all I know) is going to get an advantage based on... randomness?

I'm just curious, mostly. How is this all decided and how is it fair to those who want to RP and want to win and yet have no chance?

-Josh the Whiner.... heh.

Would you have rather me said nothing at all? Cause then all the RP would've been wasted, so at least I've learned that much not to make someone upset. ;)

To answer: Is it 'fair'?

Well - this is the only 'godbooked' match out of 17 weeks of matches. Therefore, I don't think catastophic results will occur from the decision.

Nobody is losing to anyone in their conference, so it won't affect the standings all that much since only 2 other matches were signed.

But to give a more personal answer on why it was done, and thus explaining it...

I've never felt that RP should be the only facet in deciding how NFW rolls along, so to speak. There's plenty of weeks where we let the RP determine things, but there will be other weeks where in order to push storylines we want to write into the league - RP won't be used as much.

Due to how the league was set up for Season I, you won't see too many of these 'storyline' weeks. However, I've already decided on changing things around for Season II - where I can let people along your lines of thinking compete under RP rules strictly, while others that enjoy storylines more can compete in that environment.

But there will come a time when those styles will have to mix and All-Star Week will give a good preview of how that could work out.

Now keep in mind, that we try to reward effort as best we can and I feel like we've done a good job at that. But remember, the people running NFW need some 'sparks' to keep their interests so we don't bail on the league. :)

I'll be sending an email out to all War Games participants regarding getting RP/angles in for the show b/c I do want some involvement by handlers - but yes, the decision has been made on the booking due to various reasons. I just hope in the end, you'll enjoy them.

Long-winded Rambling, over.

Silly Katz

When you've booked something prior to the event itself..

you NEVER admit this.

Booking a War Games with so much RP probably is smart, but you don't tell us that. ;)

See Lindsay laughed when I said, in the CSWA - they wouldn't even tell you.

I, on the other hand have learned from past events that people are known to hold grudges for 3 years if they RP a ****load for nothing.

Therefore, I decided to stab everyone in the heart early. ;)

What a candid conversation on FW...

I don't know about you, boys, but I plan on getting laid this semester. So Katzy, you go ahead and do what you gotta do!
