Biron,
You need to clear your inbox out. I tried responding to your PM (sorry for delay) and it wouldn't let me send. So I'm posting back here cause I don't want my response to remain silent

Hey, Sorry for delay in response, but I don't typically get PMs here so I didn't notice until now. Thanks for the kind words in regard to my earlier work. There was no plan for leaving NFW. I didn't really see a direction for Deacon, had been fairly rudderless during most of my time there, and just decided to fizzle out. I'd had some fun - loved working against Pants, someone who I have a great deal of respect for, but I never could get a handle on what NFW was about and personally more importantly, what my role should be.
With that said, this isn't a slam on Katz or anyone at the top of the bookings. It is my job, and I just couldn't really find a solid angle that I liked, something that I could build the character with. In essence, Deacon never did get infused into what makes NFW ... NFW. I looked for a few things that I could do but it never really took, either with the readers, those in power, or me. And that's probably more my fault than anything else because I have less time to devote to the game, don't use IM's anymore, and so couldn't really find a good way to plan w/ anyone and search out that angle that would work.
I don't write anywhere, and haven't jumped into any feds since leaving. I try to stay up w/ NFW, if for no other reason than it has a lot of people there I like (Russo, Ben, Ford, Jamar, etc.). I'm not sure I can devote much to it, at least not until I finish the expansions for the wrestling game I have. But as I told Jamar, if he needs someone to pinch-hit for a match, segment or whatever, feel free to hit me up. If I'm available, I'd be glad to give some help. Unfortunately, that's the best I could hope for.
Again, thanks for the kind words and let me know if I can help out in any way.
