Steve Knox went into Memphis, Tennessee's Liberty Bowl Stadium with every confidence that he would pull off the feat of retaining both of his championships... the NFW National Championship and the PTC Elite Championship.

And then it all went up in smoke.

Outside interference from a slimy Brit and a foreign object cost Steve Knox the Elite Championship against Wyatt Connors.

Teresa Quaranta's love affair with steel chairs and a conniving Rook Black cost Steve Knox his Elite Championship.

Now Steve Knox sat in the back of his bus, still fuming. He had a lot of time to think these days, because Eddie Mayfield decided nobody got to be paid to work for the rest of the year. He had a lot of time to decide who he was going to destroy to make the sting of SUPERcrash II disappear. So dedicated was he to the task that he sat down and started to write a list.

It looked a lot like this:

The Cosmo Kid stood behind Steve Knox, wearing a black suit but still wearing his white and purple star-print mask, and asked the obvious question, "Varga? Twice?"

"Sometimes I think he could survive a nuclear winter." Steve Knox said, solemnly.

Cosmo was one of those guys that was truly unflappable. Nothing surprised him. Not even the prospect of what he was going to say next, "So, are you going to take a Hattori Hanzo sword and start chopping up the NFW roster?"

"What are you talking about?" Steve asked.

"LIke in Kill Bill."

"Kill Bill?"

Now even Cosmo Kid was surprised, "You didn't watch Kill Bill?"

"No." was Steve's simple response.

The Cosmo Kid stared at Steve Knox's list for a long time, before he commented, "Well, I think you'll need a Hattori Hanzo sword. Maybe we should meet up with some ninjas."

"No." Steve said, simply, almost so quick that he nearly interrupted Cosmo Kid before he could actually finish his statement.

It was around this time that Alice Wright wandered over to see what Steve was doing. Alice wore a light blue dress that Steve once thought looked familiar, but now he just put it into the back of his mind for later. Instead, Steve Knox was thinking whether or not he left anyone out.

"Oh," Alice said, upon seeing the "death list", "Are you writing into a Death Note?"

"A what?"

"A Death Note. If you write someone's name into it, they die 40 seconds later." Alice replied.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Steve said, finally looking up at Alice, "But that sounds pretty handy. You know, to kill a guy by just writing their name."

"Yeah, but then it'll go into this long and pointless cat-and-mouse game between you and the police, including a barefooted detective guy. So, maybe it's a good thing that's not a Death Note." Alice said.

"You know, I don't really get your nerd culture, Alice." Steve said, which earned him a slap in the back of his head followed by Alice huffing and stomping back to the front of the bus.

Steve sighed, before he turned back to Cosmo Kid, "So, a Hattori Hanzo sword. Those come cheap, Cosmo?"

The Cosmo Kid smirked... never a good sign.

"I know a guy."
