Hey everyone...
Every year or so, give or take a month or two, we in Empire Pro Wrestling do a little event we call King of the Cage: Tag Team Edition.
The name comes from our classic King of the Cage tournament, which traditionally saw everyone in the fed compete in a single elimination cage match tournament to crown the King of the Cage. This winner, assuming he was not already the World Champion, would then face the World Champion for the World Title at the following "Pay-Per-View" show.
Due to what I perceived as a general lack of tag team wrestling in e-fedding combined with my love for tag team wrestling in general, several years back I decided to adapt this concept to tag teams, with the added stipulation that any singles wrestler who signs up would be paired with another wrestler in a "Lethal Lottery" manner. Existing complete teams were allowed to sign up as a team and not be split up. All pairing were to be completely random. I literally pulled the names from a hat. The EPW World Tag Team Champions were automatically entered, and every match they competed in would be for the titles, with the only caveat being, while you could advance in the tournament via escaping the cage, pinfall, or submission, you could only win the Tag Team Titles via pinfall or submission. The winners, too, would be crowned EPW Kings of the Cage and will headline the following PPV in a match against the EPW World Champions for the belts, assuming they are not already the champs. If they are, they will defend against the number one contenders in the main event of the PPV.
Right now, we are roleplaying for our latest PPV event, Black Dawn. Beginning the first EPW Aggression show after Black Dawn, we will begin EPW King of the Cage: Tag Team Edition 2012.
I'm opening up signups right here in this thread for ANYONE AND EVERYONE who is interested in participating.
There is no obligation to join EPW once your run in the tournament is over, and I will not give special treatment to anyone, whether they are already in EPW or not. However, the hope is that you enjoy your experience so much that you decide to stick around and either help the EPW Tag Team scene continue to grow or move into the singles scene. Either way, our hope is that you enjoy yourself and stay on board.
