Pete, you jumping my ass like a little Daddy's Girl every time an issue comes up that I have an opinion about is starting to get on my last nerve.

I'm sorry, I've only got exactly the same amount of experience doing this as everyone else here.

My match isn't finished because it took two weeks to get some info out of Katz about it in the first place, and that's been over a month ago and I have seen neither hide nor hair of him since then.

Yeah, there's great communication.

Let me explain something to you, you line-towing dolt, I'm thirty years old, I've got three kids, I've got a job that I work at six days a week and sometimes for upward of sixteen hours a day. I still have enough time EVERY SINGLE DAY to sign on to the forum and see if anything has happened.

It hasn't.

I'm sorry, I can't get excited about writing a match when I have no idea if or when the fedhead is gonna be around to do anything with it. It's called motivation, and this place has a tendency to kill it.

Now, I've got an idea, why don't we have a thread about ZOMG HOW TO FIX WHAT WE AIN'T GONNA FIX while there's still an entire card that I'm not obligated to write for that hasn't come out yet, which is due out before the card that I am obligated to write on, and nothing is being done by anyone.

See, the problem with Justin is I just can't get him to be honest about what he really thinks.

Also, thought it was funny that I just posted a drop dead date for EPW and then read this thread.

Justin...I completely agree about the communication. However, I'm not going to badger people about their matches on a 24/7 basis. I don't have that time and that would completely de-motivate me from running a fed. I'm managing a staff of 15 right now in the real world, I badger enough on a daily basis.

Besides...if I did take that approach, you'd have quit or cut off all your fingers over the Talladega matches I assigned you. ;)

But like I said, I completely agree about communication being key. But that's even moreso if someone CAN'T start/finish the match they've signed up for. The real issue lies in that match being transitioned. I think most of us work for a living and know that it shouldn't take an overbearing boss for people to work together to complete a project. We need to stop going into our hiding holes when the matches are overdue and putting it back out there.... instead of the time-honored tradition of "I'll work on it this weekend..." "Ok, I'm off next week, I can do it then..." 1 month later, the person's disappeared and we still have a big match to fulfill. We need to eliminate this.

OK, now you're hitting a nerve of mine.

PM SENT TO YOU ON 7/29/11:

SUBJECT: Reloaded match reminder...

Hey Justin,

Thanks for writing this. Not sure you saw it in the INFO/DEADLINE thread, but you should send the match without a finish to me at my email address. new_frontier_wrestling@yahoo.com

I didn't receive anything from the other participants, so have fun with it!

PM SENT TO YOU ON 7/31/11

SOUTHERN HEAT 2/3 falls Info

(NAMES REDACTED) got in by eliminating their opponent together when (NAME REDACTED) snuck in during (NAME REDACTED) submission finisher by applying a front-facelock as well.

As for this match...

It'll get to 1-1-1, when (NAME REDACTED) hits a frog splash on (NAME REDACTED)and (NAME REDACTED) piles on top of him, they both pin (NAME REDACTED)...and therefore...both win. (NAME REDACTED) runs for the hills immediately after.

-------------------------

That's nowhere near two weeks from the initial deadlines. IT WAS UNDER A WEEK FROM THE RP DEADLINES.

What the hell else was I supposed to give you for these matches? If you need help on the characters, there are plenty of people besides myself that could help. Surely the character's handlers would have been happy to answer questions.

BRAWL/RELOADED FORMAT TEMPLATES? I've done that too!

Listen, if you want to play the blame game there's PLENTY to go around and I'm willing to take 100% of it for the team. But don't start saying that I didn't send you anything right away and trying to throw me under a bus after the fact. That's just wrong. You lost your Internet as I recall and were gone for a week after I sent these PM's. Maybe you missed them, I don't know...but don't go around saying I didn't send you anything for two weeks. That's not true.

And keep in mind you're not obligated to write for Talladega because you decided you hated the match booking ideas and didn't want to write the matches. I was fine with that, like I've stated...I'm not forcing anything down anyone's throat.

Or are you suggesting that I respond differently to you next time when you react similarly to a match assignment?

Ooooh, now the name calling starts. Go right ahead, I don't care enough about you to bother.

Whatever you need to play the plucky underdog, I suppose.

Anyways, I was going to go right ahead and call you a liar for claiming that it was that tough to get info out of Katz about the matches you wanted to take, since every time (except for Talladega) that I've volunteered for one, I've had an email or a PM within a day, but Katz took care of that with his copy/pastes.

What I can't figure out is why you're even here - the only time I ever see anything out of you OOC - wise is when you're complaining about something.

But, to give you the benefit of the doubt - you're apparently off work today. Are you finished?

As I said before, too - Katz, send me whatever's outstanding.

Yes, there's templates and guides to writing in Teleplay, Brunk. I know you just joined the email list.

*.*

I've read through alot of things in this thread and have some ideas.

I don't want anyone to think we're in a GLOOM OF DOOM situation either. NFW technically hit its yearly show quota before the summer started. ;)

We've got a very good core of people, we missed the last half of summer. It's not the end of the world.

Anyway, more to come in regards to the ideas in this thread I'd like to start implementing.

Just one note -- if I'm not available via Instant Message for any period of time, always feel free to email or PM me...I'm at work enough, where that makes sense for some of you other time zoners. :)

Katz: Yes, I had those PMs, I'm talking about after that when I needed to speak to you for two weeks about specifics and I had to chase you around and play the waiting game. I'm not suggesting that you badger everyone all day every day about matches, and if I came off sounding that way, oops, whatever. I am suggesting that maybe you at least ask about things more than once a month (or two) so that you yourself are in the know. That way you could re-assign if need be, or write it yourself, or decide to one-line it, or whatever.

Not just wait two months until this thread.

Pete: If you knew how many people around here thought you were a complete, useless toolbox, you'd probably write a roleplay about your girlfriend crying about it. Get over yourself. I'm here because I want to be. I'm vocal because I think very highly of NFW and I want to see it succeed. In my perfect world everybody would be so stoked to get the next show out, they would all be willing and able to finish their commitments on time. When I agreed to take on these matches, I was that stoked. That was two months and maybe three conversations with Katz ago.

Oh yeah, the fault is completely mine.

And Pete, just for clarification's sake, if my match for Reloaded were done and in right now, would the Talladega show be up yet? If the answer is no, shut the **** up.

Two things:

1) Too much salty talk in this thread.

2) Justin, Pete's the man. Everyone <3's him.

Devin, I don't give a **** that everybody loves him.

Of course everybody loves him.

He goes along with everything and smiles a lot and ten years ago he was a big deal.

I don't see how any of that applies to any of this.

"Ten years ago he was a big deal" ... ?

Justin, he's one of two people vying for the title. The other is Billy. Within the context of this hobby, more specifically this fed, that makes him a big deal.

Pete is well liked because he isn't calling people names on our forums and being hyper critical of everything. While I personally don't give a **** about the frequency of our cards, I can understand that you're irritated by the slow pace of NFW. Sorry to tell you this, but I doubt drastic change is on the horizon. If you can't handle that, there's nothing tying you here. There's other feds out there.

Not telling you to get the **** out; just saying.

NFW has a good atmosphere, people get along and have fun. That's the only reason I'm still here, and likely the only reason a lot of people are still here that no longer care about e-wrestling.

I'm not irritated by the pace of NFW.

I'm irritated by threads about how to change NFW's tardiness turning into flamewars when someone makes a suggestion, and then everyone else telling me on AIM not to worry about it because this always happens, and Katz never takes any of the advice after he asks for it.

If we could all just agree that NFW is a once every two months efed, then I'd be all about it.

If you notice, I didn't say a word until it was asked for.

I didn't say a word to or about Pete either until he decided to White Knight for NFW without actually considering anything that I'd said.

I generally only tend to speak up when I feel like it's been asked for.

Gee, that worked out really well.

Actually, I considered all of it - and if you look you'll see that I was agreeing with you about cards coming out on time. The only thing I disagreed with you on was when you said that this fed has no communication. As someone who has been more or less a member for six straight years now - as well as being AROUND NFW since it was created, I know that's not true, so I was explaining why I think the lulls happen here.

Then you insulted me. Was *that* asked for?

I insulted you because in our only two interactions here you've jumped my case like a /b/tard trying to get an ugly girl to show you her tits while everybody else calls her ugly.

I made my comment about communication because as it pertains to myself and at least one other person, Katz is wholly unavailable for weeks at a time. Now tell me, in your six years in NFW, does that sound like communication?

I'm all for a nice, healthy (blowing off some steam) thread, but, if this turns into an old vs. new battle, I'll pluck my eyes out with a needle nose pliers. Really, nothing is getting solved and might never. It is what it is, I suppose.

You've got a good handful of people who write their RPs, segments, and a match (matches) on every card.
You've got another set of people who RP, sign up for every show, but never help with a card.
