Great Lakes Championship Wrestling will be dedicated to bringing you the best wrestling action as we can possibly give. The league will be based on old-school booking concepts of the NWA, Mid-South, Memphis, and SMW, combined with some of best concepts brought to the table by more modern promotions such as ECW, WCW, and the WWF, however few and far between they may be, because let's face it, they put out much more crap product than good. Paul brings to the table an appreciation of Japanese puroresu, so that will be incorporated as well. Workrate and realistic storylines will be stressed, and feuds will be long and bitter. No Insta-feuds, no pointless T&A for the sake of T&A, no promoter vs. wrestler feuds, and no garbage hardcore matches. Everything will have a point and make an attempt to make sense. Not what you're used to right? If it's not for you then please don't join, I don't want to waste anybody's time. As far as storylines and angles go, Paul and I will have complete control over the direction of the league. If we don't feel that an angle will work or even make sense, then it will not be used. Also, unrealistic promos will be discouraged, if I see another promo with a guy standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean during a raging thunderstorm, I will puke. The promotion is based out of the Great Lakes area so feel free to use locales whenever possible but keep the special effects to a minimum. Abstract RPs are also discouraged, we dont want viewers to be put to sleep by philosophical debates. Wrestling fans aren't all Harvard graduates. Tag team wrestling will be stressed so please submit teams if you can. We are kicking around an idea to have frequent house cards with short RP times to add realism. If this would be too much for you, please take that into consideration. Constructive criticism will be allowed but excessive bitching is not. Ryan Peelman and David Zander have agreed to write house cards, but they will allowed to RP as well since Paul and I will be judging all matches. Paul and I will not have active characters. Once we get enough responses, the league will open up officially. So get those apps posted and the sooner you do, the sooner we get started! Good luck to all!
