Weight: 246 lbs. (Daymon) / 229 lbs. (Kuroyama
Hailing From: Seattle, WA
Alignment: Face
Gimmick: A master/student sort of tandem. Rocko Daymon is an experienced veteran of the ring with a profound level of dedication to the fighting spirit, on a path of constant self-improvement. His mission is to constantly raise the standards of honest, competitive professional wrestling while preserving the integrity of the sport. His protege, Kerry Kuroyama, is a third-generation wrestler, set on outshining his family legacy and following in the footsteps of his mentor. Under Rocko’s tutelage, he’s developed into a fine young athlete with a lot of promise. Rocko’s personality can be described as no-nonsense and a bit philosophical, while Kerry shows a bit more emotion and youthful light-heartedness. Basically, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter, with about an 18-year age gap.
Wrestling Style: Both all all-rounders, focused on strong-style puroresu. Rocko leans a bit more toward brawling and impact moves while Kerry specializes in submissions and shoot wrestling.
Three Weaknesses:
(Daymon)
1. Showing signs of age and many years of abuse in the ring, and doesn’t quite have the stamina and strength he had in his peak years.
2. Despite his experience, still thinks his will unbreakable, and thus often allows himself take far more punishment than he can actually withstand.
3. Very much a product of “Attitude Era” wrestling trying reform his wrestling style to better compete against scientific-minded wrestlers with better technique.
(Kuroyama)
1. Not green, but still young at heart and occasionally brash and impulsive, so sometimes susceptible to distractions or letting his emotions get the best of him.
2. Idealistic of the sport in general, and invests perhaps too much of his trust in opponents in the hopes that they won’t cheat.
3. Takes big risks, sometimes with very little rewards. The kind of guy who would leave himself wide open trying to go for a knock-out punch.
Three Strengths:
(Daymon)
1. Spent the past 17 years wrestling, and his wisdom and experience shows. There isn’t anything he hasn’t seen before.
2. Keeps his focus and emotions in tact through almost anything, always determined to win and never giving in to excessive showboating.
3. Pushes his limits in every match, fights tooth and nail, and absolutely refuses to give in until the bitter end.
(Kuroyama)
1. Despite his age, very adept at learning his opponent’s styles and adapting his own to give himself the advantage.
2. Studied the sports since his teens, and comes equipped with a vast knowledge of technical wrestling.
3. Slowly mastering the art of the second wind. Just when you think he’s out, he often finds a way to come back and even the odds.
