RE: Matchwriting

Just wanted to see how everyone has felt about the past 5 weeks of matchwriting.

Alot of details, storylines kinda get lost in the way we're doing it right now and it upsets me sometimes 'cause there's confusion over what happened...and in some cases, season-long storylines not getting the right kind of spotlight.

NFW hasn't let members write their own matches because sometimes it causes controversey. But lately, especially with a few leagues I've seen - it seems that if you've got a good backstage roster, everyone does a good job writing their own stuff. And since our roster seemingly has no problems, I wanted to see what you thought.

Now, I'm not saying I'm just going to stop writing cards and not do work...

But I know some of you would write your matches happily, if given the opportunity.

Do you think we should integrate more of this into the card?

Are things too short-form? Would you like to write your matches and segments?

(I'm just full of questions, this new board design is freaking me out.)

The matches in the NFW have ALWAYS been great. Nothing has changed about that.

As far as people writing thier own matches, I think it would work. MOST people would take extra pains in making the match look even (or possibly even putting the other guy over more than he should be) while at the same time, make the match true to his character's style.

I'm for more long form matches (who isn't?) but I think we all understand that some things have to be sacrificed in order to allow the league to move forward. If we could up the number of long form matches written by "cardwriters" to 2 instead of 1...then announce which matches are going to be written out after RP is done. Then , if a guy's match is not one of the 2 to be written out, and he wants a long form match, he can write it himself.

Just tossing out ideas. It's lunch time and I'm not hungry so I've got to do SOMETHING. :)
