RE: New Procedures with Deadlines/RP

I was just looking at the calendar, seeing as how we've got one on these boards...

(We might've on the last one, I didn't notice)

Anyway, all deadlines for cards will now be posted on the calendar to eliminate the IM bombardments about it.

Also -- due to how the past 6 weeks have gone, we're not going to have a specific RP deadline anymore. We will have angle deadlines cause those are needed to layout the card.

Keep in mind that once the angle deadline hits, JN, Gregg and I will start determining the matches...but I think with a specific RP deadline the issue b/t quantity and quality gets more clouded than we'd like.

We'd rather have it go up to the card, so if anyone happens to be busy, they still have a chance to participate before the card's posting. This will also eliminate the issue of last minute RPing...and also provide our more busy handlers an opportunity to work.

A general note on RP quanity if your opponent is no-showing or idle for several days:

I don't mind someone doing 2 to somebody's nil, if several days go by. I know some leagues have the '48 hour' rule and NFW doesn't have anything like that. But if you go up 3-1 and your opponent gets it back to 3-2 - in the future talk to the other handler before you make your next post. Not that I've received complaints, but I've noticed handlers curtaling their RP because they're not being let back into the thread of discussion b/t characters.

If the other handler is cool with you going right ahead then by all means RP. But they might be busy and not be able to respond and I'd hate to see quantity issues come out of that in the future.

Plus, there is the General RP section which is always good for pushing non-match related storylines...which NFW considers strongly in the grand scheme of things.

If you have any questions or complaints regarding anything I just said, respond under this thread (discussion is never bad), or hit me up in IM.
