To the Fantasy Wrestling Community and my friends here:

Yes, the time has finally come. Due to many factors, I am retiring from Fantasy Wrestling. Many of you are probably surprised by this action, the rest of you probably don't know me and don't really care. :)

I've just hit a point in my life where I no longer have the time or the will to participate in this game anymore. I've been around since the Prodigy days, through Yahoo Groups, and now to fwrestling.com...over 10 years. It's all been great, but it's time that I go.

My career and my personal life have evolved to the point where I've got to leave this behind. I can't half-ass anything in my life, so I've got to give this up. It's hard to do it, but I feel like in order to do myself and the characters I've created justice, I have to.

I'd like to apologize to everyone I've put in a pickle by leaving.

Katz ... I know I've put a lousy start to Season 2, and walked out on helping you. You've always been great to me and I'm sorry to disappoint you probably the most of anyone.

Chad, Steve ... Thanks for letting Southern get that magic ring by winning the World Title in the CSWA. Sorry I have to vacate it, but I'm sure your warped minds will think of something.

Guys in EPW and WFW, sorry to join up only to walk out on you. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be part of your organizations, if only for a little while.

I know I probably owe alot of people personal emails, but I just can't deal with that right now. Sorry if that offends you.

I can't say if the retirement is permanent ... perhaps I'll "find my smile" again one day. But at least for now, I've got to go....if only for my own sanity.

Thanks for everything.

Jason

Jason....

What canI say? this sucks man, but real life does take presence no matter what.

I'm glad I got to RP with/against you when I could, and I hope to see you one day again sooner than later.

Wha.. What?!

Now Edmunds will never get his chance at retribution! Just kidding man ...

Wow. What is there to say? You have been such a staple in so many things regarding FW ... from PRODIGY to now. I don't even know what to say..

Good luck in everything that you find yourself in ... and hopefully some day down the road you'll find time again to do this....

Good luck, man.

Hey bro,

It's been a fun ride. From way back in UWA to IWC to NFW, I've had tremendously fun times RPing against you and Southern is obviously one of the greatest characters in FW. You're always welcome back.

Take care of yourself and your life, man. Nobody's gonna hold a grudge (except Katz, of course, hehehe).

Peace out bro,
Josh

Now, unlike alot of the other guys, I never got the chance to RP with you, but I've always admired what you did with Southern and Vladi. Thank you for the great stuff you wrote and good luck.

Oh my God... this is a total shock. I saw this on the front page and half-expected it to be Rivera posting about going to boot camp, but wow, I am shawked.

This might not mean much coming from someone you had barely any contact with (outside of a jobber match in Empire ;)), but I can totally see where you're coming from, as I had to take a hiatus from the game a couple of years back. I never thought I'd come back, because my interest in wrestling was already declining and stuff, but hey, I found the spark again.

And I really hope you find it again too. From what I've read, you're a very talented promo, and Southern/Maggot was one of the matches I was really looking forward to this season. If you don't have it though, then I understand. Best of luck to you in whatever else you do man. Take it easy.

Well man, I'm as surprised as everyone else in a way but also not so in a way as well. I can totally relate to what you're feeling here because like you I have a career and family life that I have to always be sure to keep in the proper place in my life. FW is a fun hobby to do if you can balance it with your life's priorities but once it gets to where it's just in the way, it's time to hang 'em up. My time will come as well.

I've gotta say that we developed quite the fun rivalry between Southern and Ryan despite very minimal actual handler contact outside of the game. You're one of the absolute best at playing off of what you're given, and I admire that immensely. I also knew that you were one of the guys who wouldn't complain no matter what, not to mention a guy who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I think the closest I got to hearing you insult somebody was telling me in IM once "Well, he's a really nice guy." Didn't matter that I had asked about the guy's RP ability. ;)

I'll miss ya being around. If you get that itch back, I'll be the first to stand and applaud your return. Good luck to you.

Hey Jason. Don't sweat it. We've all been there. Things are tough now that we're older. Come back anytime.

I'm sad to hear that you are retiring from FW. I have known you for just about as long as I have been in FW and enjoyed working with you over the years.

Take care of yourself and good luck with everything.

JMar, I'm gonna miss you. Thanks for all the work you did with me in USCW/GXW/NFW/EPW (even though it was short.) Good luck with everything, and check your e-mail every once in awhile...I'll be in touch. :)

As someone who's been in and out of FW for the past year or so, I can relate to the real life stuff taking precedence after a while. Still, you've stuck with FW for a good deal longer before coming to this point, which is a credit to you.

I've read a lot of your RP for Vlachinko and Morgan, as well as spatterings of Southern, all of which has been entertaining and just real great reads. You've heard this already, I'm sure, but you're really one of the major players in FW. More importantly, it seems like you've enjoyed it throughout, shown through the consistency of your RPing. Not that you need to hear all this, but I just thought I'd throw in my own props to you. :)

If you come back, I'll be happy to pick back up on reading your stuff. Either way, good luck in your future ventures! I hope they'll provide as much enjoyment to you. Take care.
