For anyone who uses the Emerald Fusion or any variant of a double underhook piledriver as your finisher, you have this man to thank. One of the all-time greats died in the ring, taking a routine back suplex. RIP

Oy.... it's really weird and very sad to see guys I watched so often - Test, Abismo Negro, and Misawa, passing away. For all it's good points, the wrestling business really has a long way to go in addressing the fact that stuff like this keeps happening.

I wish I'd managed to get to his most recent tour over here. He was a great innovator and had a superb grasp of psychology.

I woke up to this in the morning and I felt like I got kicked in the gut. I didn't expect Misawa to go like that. He had been looking older in the ring and he was moving much slower, but he seemed like he knew his limitations. It is a damn shame. He was truly one of the best of alltime and to a generation of fans in the nineties, he was Japanese wrestling.

The slowness was due to his kness pretty much being shot from the Tiger Mask days... I just couldn't believe it when I saw it this morning via Tom's blog... From a wrestling standpoint June is the month I seem to dread the most over the past couple of years.
