Hey guys ... while I'm writing Battle BRAWL I figured it'd be nice to have some discussion about anything and everything ... so why not start with movies... have you guys seen anything good recently? Any movies that you want to recommend?

I just saw the Incredibles last night ... I was sorta hesitant because it was an animated movie thats rated like G or something ... but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a funny movie to see.

SpongeBob was off the hook. I took my little boy to see it. Great flick. I saw the Incredibles as well. That was really good too. Polar Express is awesome.

No.

...

...maybe I should ask a girl out, or something. Thanks for giving me an excuse to make an attempt at getting laid, Sean.

I concur with this statement.

Also, Kenneth Branagh's "Hamlet" is great, albeit very long (it's word-for-word).

And I concur with THAT statement. Branagh's Hamlet is my favorite movie of all times. Word for word it follows the play, GREAT ensemble cast with suuuuuuper performances from Branagh, Kate Winslet, and even a Jack Lemmon sighting, combined with good cinematography. Beautiful.

Nice to see I'm not the only Shakespeare geek around here. :)

Franco Zeffirelli's version is good (he directed the "Hamlet" that Mel Gibson starred in). Baz Luhrman's version with Leo DiCap is not.

Didn't get laid... but I did punch a girl.

...in the arm.

...after she punched me in my arm about a dozen times.

...*cough*

But, Elf was pretty good, and Lost In Translation was equally good.

I almost actually cried during the Spongebob "death" scene. I knew they were going to be brought back beyond a shadow of a doubt, but the scene itself still managed to be pretty emotional for such a silly silly movie.

Y'know...I really hate Kenneth Branagh. All he does is overact. Every movie he's in. WAY over the top. He pissed all over Frankenstien, and his Hamlet is a four hour long cartoon....Like there's all that hell fire and brimstone 'n sh*t when he meets the ghost? WTF is that?

Although I like the Baz Romeo and Juliet, just because it looks cool and has Claire Danes in it. And I like the Mel Gibson Hamlet, even though he makes out with Gertrude which I think is nonsense, and I hate Mel Gibson.

I like Ethan Hawk's Hamlet too, even though it makes no sense.

It's really all about the Julie Taymour (spl?) Titus. Lavina's big scene is godlike. An Aaron is a badass. Anthony Hopkins doing the Hannibal Lector thing was kinda stupid, but eh.
