[Fade into the Big Screen at the TEAM Studios in West Chester, PA. It shows Fusenshoff and Big Dog in a test of strength as Tom Holzerman stands in front.]

TH: The Dupree Cup playoffs begin, and five teams fought for their survival. MWCW and EPW wait in the wings. Who'd meet them there? EPICENTER is next...

[Cue up "Down" by Stone Temple Pilots.
Cut to JASON PAYNE, shouting out in primal fury with a man's blood as his war paint.
Cut to ROCKO DAYMON whipping ULYSIS SOLIAN off the ropes.
Cut to RAVAGER rolling out of the way of a ROB FRANKLIN top rope headbutt.
Cut to MUNSON MONSOON tossing HIGH FLYER out of the FREE FOR ALL~! ring.

Cut to DAN RYAN hoisting the Merrit Trophy, then flash cut to NOVA with the Harvard Avalon Memorial Trophy held by his side, then flash cut to Team NEW hoisting the Dupree Cup.

Cut to: The Epicenter logo once more, fading into Tom Holzerman and Steve Murray at the EPICENTER desk.]

TH: It's the quarterfinals of the Dupree Cup, and five are still alive. I'm Tom Holzerman...

SM: ...and I'm Steve Murray. We had a unique and unprecedented three-way team matchup going on, a repeat of last week's PRIME-al civil war with some of the New Frontier thrown in, but this week, we start with the other matchup.

[Cut to a close-up of Murray sitting behind an A1E/TEAM inset.]

SM: A1E's been here before, and Team TEAM... well, they didn't exist before this year. Still, they were just as hungry to experience that which A1E had last year and more.

[Cut to Fusenshoff and Big Dog in a test of strength.]

SM V/O: First up, Fusenshoff still on a hot streak of knocking off World Champion-caliber talents tries to continue that against the most previous A1E Champ, Big Dog. They start out this match with an OLD SKOOL~! test of strength, a dumb move on Fuse's part it would seem given Dog's weight advantage, but Fuse with the trickery. A quick knee to the gut and then to the face, and Fuse is in the driver's seat here.

[Cut to Fuse whipping Dog off the ropes.]

SM V/O: Fuse able to capitalize off that momentum, parlaying that into this sweet flapjack on Dog among other moves.

[Cut to Dog whipping Fuse off the ropes.]

SM V/O: You can't keep a good Dog down for too long though, and the former A1E Champion gets back in the swing of things here with this BIIIIG spinebuster.

[Cut to Fuse in the corner, Dog working him over.]

SM V/O: And here, Dog doing what he does best, throwing those soup bones right in the gut. Fuse might be coughing up blood after this ordeal.

[Cut to Fuse with Dog in a front facelock.]

SM V/O: You can't hassle the Hoff too much, or else he'll do something like this; turning the match around and nailing you with a swinging neckbreaker.

[Cut to Fuse on the apron.]

SM V/O: And here, Fuse takes to the air. Leaping up over the ropes and hitting the sweet cross-body on Dog by surprise.

[Cut to Dog with Fuse in the air.]

SM V/O: But once again, Big Dog comes barking back. Here he's got Fuse in the vertical suplex position, but this isn't your normal su-pley. Dog holds him up there like a light fixture and lets all that blood rush straight to the head before sending him CRASHING down.

[Cut to Dog running the ropes.]

SM V/O: And here, Dog almost decapitates Fuse with a HYOOOOGE lariat there. Vicious, just vicious.

[Cut to Fuse on the top rope.]

SM V/O: Fuse comes back and he's looking to start closing the book. Double axhandle from the top to a staggered Big Dog, but he can't put him away completely. That gives Dog an opportunity to get back in this thing.

[Cut to Dog with Fuse in a sleeperhold.]

SM V/O: Dog now looking to put some finishing touches here. He's got Fuse locked in a sleeper, but he turns that into a sleeper drop WITH AUTHORITAH~!

[Cut to Dog with Fuse over the shoulder.]

SM V/O: Dog looking to finish this match with the Dog Pound, but Fusenshoff slips off. Dog bounces into the ropes and comes back just to get kicked in the gut. Fuse nails him with the Whiskey Bomb, a combination X-Factor/Fame-Asser, and it's lights out for Big Dog. Fuse gets the one-two-three, another legendary upset win, although at this point, I think we can stop calling them upsets if they happen all the time, and TEAM goes up one-zip.

[Cut to Beast and Harley Douglas in the Lion's Den.]

SM V/O: Next up, Beast and Harley Douglas facing off in the Lion's Den, a match thought up of by the martial-arts and submission specialist Beast. Despite his advantage, Douglas started off with the early advantage, kicking Beast in the gut and throwing him head-first into the cage. No ropes in this Den.

[Cut to Beast sizing up Douglas.]

SM V/O: Beast though comes right back, asserting himself as only he knows how to. Thrust kicks right to Douglas' grill.

[Cut to Beast with Douglas all locked up.]

SM V/O: Here, Beast trying to make Douglas tap with an armbar, but Douglas not having any of it.

[Cut to Douglas with Beast on the ground.]

SM V/O: As you see, the Ace is back in control, trying to take the knockout route here. He's got Beast on the mat and DOUBLE STOMPS him right in the head.

[Cut to Beast with Douglas in the Judas Cradle.]

SM V/O: But in the end, it was Beast, the master of submissions, locking in his signature. The Judas Cradle, and Douglas has no choice but to tap and tie the match up at one.

[Cut to Ivan Dalekchev with Shin'ya Funabashi in a gorilla press.]

SM V/O: And the tag match to decide it all... CHRONIC COLLIZION~!

TH V/O: ...formerly the Crimson Calling.

SM V/O: Thank you. Taking on Shin'ya Funabashi and Suicide...

TH V/O: ...formerly Ulysis Solian.

SM V/O: Thanks again. Ivan Dalekchev with the advantage early, pressing Mt. Tsuki over his head and CAH-RAASHING him down.

[Cut to Funabashi behind Erik Black.]

SM V/O: Funabashi would get some of that momentum back for Team TEAM, nailing Erik Black with that Japanese Ocean Suplex. A veritable compendium of puroresu moves.

[Cut to Suicide running the ropes.]

SM V/O: Suicide in the ring, and he's a house on fire, taking out Erik Black with a cross-body.

[Cut to Black with Suicide in a front facelock.]

SM V/O: But Black is back here, taking down Suicide with the swinging neckbreaker.

[Cut to Suicide with Black in an Argentine rack.]

SM V/O: We get to the end, and all hell has broken loose. In the ring, Suicide is going for the Burning Hammer, but he doesn't take into account that Ivan Dalekchev just dispatched Shin'ya Funabashi out of the ring. The big man hits the ring and yanks his partner off of Suicide's shoulders. In one motion... Drunken Russian Driver. It's all over for Suicide and Team TEAM, as CC wins and A1E advances.

[Cut to Dusk and Teresa Q grappling.]

TH V/O: Onto NFW, PRIME and the A-List, and we start out with Danny Ferguson, Dusk and Teresa Q. Dusk started out on fire early, taking out the enigmatic NFW newcomer with this Michinoku Driver.

[Cut to Dusk running the ropes.]

TH V/O: And here, he drills Danny Ferguson with a discus clothesline.

[Cut to Dusk lining up Ferguson.]

TH V/O: Dusk looking to finish Ferg with his Broken Glass Superkick, but before he can, Teresa Q. with the sneakery! She wrangles Dusk's arms up and drills him with the Process of Illumination. Dusk gets pinned and gets eliminated.

[Cut to Ferg whipping Teresa off the ropes.]

TH V/O: Down to two, and Ferg got his bearings back to him and whips Teresa into the ropes. On the rebound, it's a spinebuster.

[Cut to Teresa on the top.]

TH V/O: But don't count this vixen of dischord out of the match. She climbs to the top rope here and flies off, nailing Ferguson with a flying shoulder block.

[Cut to Teresa trying to set Ferg up for the Process of Illumination.]

TH V/O: Teresa looking to finish Ferg, but Danny Boy breaks the cross-arm, kicks Teresa in the gut... and Box Office Bomb. You do not get up from that, and Ferguson puts the A-List up one match.

[Cut to Kin Hiroshi running the ropes.]

TH V/O: Submission match now, Kin Hiroshi, Brandon Youngblood and Chandler Tsonda, and here, Tsonda eats a flying forearm from Hiroshi. Yikes.

[Cut to Youngblood with Hiroshi in the Gridlock.]

TH V/O: However, it's not enough momentum to keep himself from getting eliminated by Brandon Youngblood. The man who named the gimmick for the match makes the NFW World Champion tap out.

[Cut to Tsonda with a prone Youngblood.]

TH V/O: Tsonda taking control of the match now and he's showing himself to be a Model Citizen in Redux mode... corkscrew triple jump moonsault and a beaut.

[Cut to Youngblood sizing up Tsonda.]

TH V/O: Youngblood gets some licks in, namely, the Best Dropkick in the Universe, and Tsonda is tasting sole.

[Cut to Tsonda with Youngblood in a cobra clutch.]

TH V/O: But in the end, the submission master falls as Tsonda has the Viper's Bite locked in. Tsonda. Youngblood lasts as long as he can before tapping, but he does, and the A-List takes the meet in a stunning sweep of the first two matches.

[Cut to Professor Tremendous sizing up Sonny Silver.]

TH V/O: The A-List celebrated back in the locker room, forgetting there was still one match left in the meet. Tsonda and Facey didn't make it out to the ring because they were smoking a celebratory bong, so PRIME and NFW battled to see who'd come out second. IT looked like it would be NFW early, as Prof T and Mike Randalls took it to Sonny Silver and Jason Snow early. Prof here nailing Silver with a spinning heel kick.

[Cut to Silver behind Randalls.]

TH V/O: But the PRIME team would make a comeback. Randalls on the receiving end of a Sonny Silver back suplex...

[Cut to Snow on the top rope.]

TH V/O: And here, Randalls, who was God-like in getting NFW to this point, ends up eating an X-Rated moonsault from Jason Snow. PRIME wins the consolation prize, but the A-List moves onto the semifinals.

[Cut back to the studio.]

SM V/O: So, the semifinal matchups will be as follows. The A-List will take on MWCW, and in a match between two promotions that have had some contention in the last few months, A1E will do battle with EPW.

TH V/O: Yeah, it should be a pretty hot matchup. Anyway, that'll do it for this abbreviated version of EPICENTER. I'm Tom Holzerman. For Steve Murray, we'll see you after the semis!
