[Fade into Tom Holzerman in front of the big screen, showing a bloodied Mike Randalls, smiling.]

TH: Mike Randalls wanted to send a message to his team by sitting them all out and going commando against Empire Pro Wrestling. Would his war of attrition pay off? EPICENTER is next!

[Cue up "Down" by Stone Temple Pilots.
Cut to JASON PAYNE, shouting out in primal fury with a man's blood as his war paint.
Cut to ROCKO DAYMON whipping ULYSIS SOLIAN off the ropes.
Cut to RAVAGER rolling out of the way of a ROB FRANKLIN top rope headbutt.
Cut to MUNSON MONSOON tossing HIGH FLYER out of the FREE FOR ALL~! ring.

Cut to DAN RYAN hoisting the Merrit Trophy, then flash cut to NOVA with the Harvard Avalon Memorial Trophy held by his side, then flash cut to Team NEW hoisting the Dupree Cup.

Cut to: The Epicenter logo once more, fading into Tom Holzerman and Steve Murray at the EPICENTER desk.]

TH: Hello everyone, and welcome to EPICENTER. I'm Tom Holzerman...

SM: And I'm Steve Murray. A civil war from the two PRIME teams, a knock-down, drag-out affair between the Missouri upstarts and our floaters, and the defending Champions have one last chance, but first, one man against an entire fed.

TH: To be fair, Mike Randalls did have a partner in the tag match, but you're right, Steve.

[Cut to a close-up of Holzerman with an EPW/NFW inset.]

TH: Unhappy with his team's performance in the previous round, NFW's coach, Mike Randalls, decided he'd had enough and inserted himself into all three of NFW's matches. How would this turn out? He was going against Group B's leader and prohibitive favorite to win so far, Empire Pro.

[Cut to the ring at the America West Arena, Mike Randalls coming to the ring, wearing the retired CSWA Unified Championship.]

TH V/O: Mike Randalls coming to the ring with that retired CSWA Championship, like he said he would.

[Cut to Randalls winding up on a somewhat dazed Karl Brown.]

TH V/O: First test for Randalls was Karl Brown, and Randalls got out of the gate early here. Here he is keeping the first ever Merritt Trophy winner off-balance with a vicious roundhouse right foot to the face.

[Cut to Randalls whipping Brown off the ropes.]

TH V/O: And here, Randalls with the Irish whip on the Brit, and adding injury to insult, a thrust to the throat, stopping the Dragon in his tracks. Ouch.

[Cut to Brown putting Randalls in a hammerlock.]

TH V/O: The Dragon comes back and has Randalls in a hammerlock, then snaps him back in suplexing motion.

[Cut to Brown with Randalls in a front facelock.]

TH V/O: Brown showing everyone here that things come better in threes. Uno, dos, tres amigos!

[Cut to Brown aside of Randalls.]

TH V/O: And the Englishman goes a bit Russian here. Side leg sweep on Randalls, and Brown looks to be in complete control here.

[Cut to Randalls lining up Brown.]

TH V/O: But the wily Wolf comes right back, here he drops Brown with a big flipping dropkick.

[Cut to Brown on the top rope.]

TH V/O: Brown turning this into a see-saw affair, here taking Randalls out with a cross-body.

[Cut to Brown on the top again.]

TH V/O: But the Dragon goes to the well once too often. He's going for the kill with the Dragon-rana, but Randalls blocks it after the plant and drills Brown with a powerbomb.

[Cut to Randalls behind Brown.]

TH V/O: And here... DANGEROUS Tiger suplex. Randalls looks down at Brown for a few moments before deciding for the cover, probably to make sure he's good and finished, and he is. Randalls gets the pin and puts NFW up one match to nothing. He then takes his CSWA Championship belt and burns it right in the middle of the ring. That brings the fire squad out to extinguish, and it also brings out "Triple X" Sean Stevens, who takes exception to the celebration. Stevens starts pummeling Randalls before they can even set up the Punjabi Prison. The workers have to scramble to get the cage up while Stevens and Randalls brawl!

[Cut to Stevens behind a seated Randalls, grabbing his hair.]

TH V/O: They set the Prison up, and Stevens still waylaying on Randalls here, dropping those fists like a jackhammer. Randalls gets busted open here, but somehow, I don't think that's as much of a detriment as it'd be to other wrestlers.

[Cut to Stevens with a Kendo stick.]

TH V/O: Still though, the EPW World Champion not relenting and still in control. Here he's found one of the many weapons scattered in the ring, a Singapore cane. A homage to his wife, Stevens cracks Randalls straight across the head.

[Cut to Stevens running towards the ropes, Randalls dazed.]

TH V/O: Stevens not done yet, leaping up onto the inner cage and delivering a springboard flying forearm right to the Wolf's grill. Total domination in the beginning by Stevens.

[Cut to Stevens on the top rope, Randalls dazed.]

TH V/O: Trip smells blood, literally and figuratively. He leaps from the top for a double ax-handle, but Randalls plants a kick right to Stevens' chin, showing you can never sleep on the Wolf.

[Cut to Randalls behind Stevens.]

TH V/O: Randalls now breaking out a little somethin'-somethin' from his suplex stash. Release German, and Stevens goes for a ride.

[Cut to Randalls with Stevens in an inverted Razor's Edge position.]

TH V/O: Now it's Randalls' turn to use the cage to his advantage, although he's definitely not springboarding into it. Looks like he's going to deliever a Tommyhawk, but instead he throws the Blue-Eyed Badass face-first into the bamboo cage, and folks, if you think that's any less forgiving than steel, well, what the bamboo lacks in hardness it makes up for in roughness. I'm sure Stevens got his face scratched up just a little bit there.

[Cut to Randalls with a chain across his fist.]

TH V/O: And if you thought Randalls' chops were brutal without any enhancement, check this out...

[CRACK!]

TH V/O: Just destroying Stevens' chest here with those chain-aided chops. This match was a war of attrition.

[Cut to Randalls whipping Stevens into the corner.]

TH V/O: The Wolf looking to take out Stevens, whipping him into the ropes. But as Randalls goes in for the follow up, but Trip greets him with a boot to the skull. He follows that up with a bulldog.

[Cut to Stevens on the top.]

TH V/O: Trip breaking out the heavy artillery, here flying from the top with a missile dropkick.

[Cut to Stevens with a chair.]

TH V/O: And here, Stevens takes a page out of the extreme playbook. Van Daminator, and really, the only way Randalls falls for that is if he's as groggy as he is there.

[Cut to Stevens sizing Randalls up.]

TH V/O: Trip, going for the X-Factor, the kill. He lines up and fires, but Randalls catches the foot. He counters that into a Dragon screw, and we're back to square one.

[Cut to Randalls with Stevens in a kendo-aided camel clutch.]

TH V/O: Randalls back on top and relentless. When he said he was going into this match to scorch the Earth, he wasn't kidding. Singapore Clutch here, and it's a miracle that Stevens isn't dead after this one.

[Cut to Randalls sizing up Stevens.]

TH V/O: Randalls now sizing up Stevens, and he doesn't miss with the roundhouse right to Stevens' head, and he's looking for the kill.

[Cut to Randalls behind Stevens.]

TH V/O: Randalls, going for the same move that put away Karl Brown, but Stevens is wise to it. Low blow kick to the groin, and Stevens escapes it. He puts an exclamation point on that with an Ace crusher.

[Cut to Stevens on top of the inner cage.]

TH V/O: Stevens feels it. He's on top of the inner cage, and he's got Randalls prone... and he nails the swandive headbutt from the top of the cage. The crowd goes absolutely insane! But now it's up to Stevens to climb up out of both cages. All the four doors out have been padlocked. He makes it up one cage, and then he makes it out the second one. Stevens ties the meet up at one match apiece.

[Cut Professor Tremendous and Ice Tre in the ring.]

TH V/O: Randalls gets a little respite for them to take the Prison structure down, and Professor Tremendous started the tag match off against Ice Tre and his partner, Dan Ryan. The Good Professor was able to get a leg up on Ice Tre early, here with a spinning heel kick right to the jaw.

[Cut to Tre whipping the Prof off the ropes.]

TH V/O: Somehow, Tre gets the upper hand, whipping the Prof into the ropes. Tre goes for a clothesline, but whiffs bad. As Prof goes off the ropes, Ryan just clips the back of his head. Tre celebrates like he actually did something.

[Cut to Tre and Randalls in the ring.]

TH V/O: Tre actually does get in an offensive move here. Randalls in the ring, and he's lining Tre up for a kick. He fires, but Tre ducks and hits Randalls with a clothesline. Big move for Tre, and Randalls looks like he's got nothing left in the tank.

[Cut to Ryan in the ring against Randalls.]

TH V/O: Ryan finally in the ring, and he's got Randalls here for an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

[Cut to Ryan sizing up Randalls.]

TH V/O: The Ego Buster, looking to finish Randalls off and clinch a win for EPW. He kicks the Wolf in the gut, and Humility Bomb time, right? Wrong. Headbutt to the groin underneath the watch of referee Monet Samuel. Ryan is doubled over and Randalls counters with an axe kick to the back of Ryan's head.

[Cut to Randalls on the top rope.]

TH V/O: And the piece de resistance. Randalls... EXIT! [720 Headbutt] He rarely ever breaks this out, but he did here, and I don't even think it was to get the win as much as it was to break Dan Ryan. Prof T takes out Ice Tre and Randalls barely gets the pin and the upset victory for NFW over EPW.

[Cut to the MTS Centre Ring, Big Dog with November over his shoulder.]

SM V/O: From the most competitive meet to a laugher, A1E and Wrestling's Finest. First match, Big Dog handles November, nailing him with the Dog Pound here.

[Cut to Beast pounding on Kenjiro Ito.]

SM V/O: First blood match between Beast and Kenjiro Ito, and Beast just splits Ito wide open here. I mean, this is brutal.

[Cut to Ivan Dalekchev with Onslaught in a military press.]

SM V/O: And to finish off the sweep and the humiliation, Ivan Dalekchev VJORKs Onslaught here, just toying with him. Gorilla press and this match was never all that close. A1E sweeps and clinches their spot in the playoffs.

[Cue up Led Zeppelin, "No Quarter." Cut to Danny Ferguson and Brandon Youngblood staring each other down.]

SM V/O: Coming up after the break, PRIME battles the A-List. Who'd win out in this match, the techincal marvel or the sports entertainer? We'll find out after the break.

[Cut to a commercial for Halo 3.]

[Fade back into the studio, Steve Murray with an NEW/TEAM inset.]

SM: Last year, New Era didn't drop a single meet in their run to the Dupree Cup. They were so dominant, so on top of things. This year though, they scored a draw and lost. They're fighting for their playoff lives against the floating TEAM Team.

[Cut to Larry Tact with Ulysis Solian set up for a uranage.]

SM V/O: The first match was a bit disappointing. Ulysis Solian not putting up much of a fight against Larry Tact, as Tact Humbles Solian here. NEW goes up one to nothing.

[Cut to Fusenshoff and Jason Payne grappling in a ring surrounded by fire.]

SM V/O: Next up, Jason Payne and the returning Fusenshoff going at it in an Inferno match. Payne started things out on top, here nailing Fusenshoff with a few European uppercuts.

[Cut to Fuse running the ropes.]

SM V/O: The 'Hoff bounces back. Jumping clothesline, taking Payne down and making the flames just skip up.

[Cut to Payne whipping Fuse off the ropes.]

SM V/O: Payne comes right back, taking Fuse down with the tilt-a-whirl side slam. Another big move to make the flames jump up high.

[Cut to Fuse with Payne in a front waistlock.]

SM V/O: Fusenshoff makes this a see-saw matchup and tosses Payne over his head with a belly-to-belly suplex.

[Cut to Payne whipping Fuse again.]

SM V/O: Payne back on the offensive and he just makes the Hoff eat his foot. Big boot, and Hoff almost careens into the flames. This match was almost over there.

[Cut to Fuse with Payne in a front headlock.]

SM V/O: Fuse comes right back though, spiking Payne with a DDT.

[Cut to Payne with Fuse in a full nelson.]

SM V/O: Payne looking to finish Fuse off with a Payne Killer. He's got the nelson locked in, but Fuse at the last minute kicks Payne's leg from under him, breaks the hold, turns around and delivers a Complete Shot to Payne. Payne gets up and his hair is on fire! Fusenshoff knots the meet up at one match apiece.

[Cut to Harley Douglas sizing up John Doe.]

SM V/O: And Harley Douglas would put the exclamation point on the meet, nailing John Doe with the Piston DDT and pinning him to eliminate NEW.

[Cut to Danny Ferguson chopping at Brandon Youngblood.]

TH V/O: PRIME and the A-List. The Sports Entertainer Danny Ferguson and the Only Diamond in This Sport Brandon Youngblood. The flash got the upperhand early as Ferg goes chopping on Youngblood's chest. Ye-ouch!

[Cut to Youngblood returning the favor.]

TH V/O: Youngblood mirror-moving on Ferguson, and this is Youngblood's bread and butter. Yikes.

[Cut to Youngblood with Ferguson in a gutwrench.]

TH V/O: The Pariah showing his suplex acumen, gutwrench suplex.

[Cut to Ferguson grabbing Youngblood by the head.]

TH V/O: Ferguson storms right back, waylaying Youngblood with those untechincal closed fists.

[Cut to Ferguson with Youngblood in a spinning toe hold.]

TH v/O: Shades of the Funker here, Youngblood in some pain, but he'd escape that...

[Cut to Youngblood behind Ferguson.]

TH V/O: ...and nail Ferguson with the German suplex.

[Cut to Ferguson with Youngblood dazed.]

TH V/O: However, in the end, it would be Danny Ferguson. Box Office Bomb (scoop tombstone) and you do NOT get up from that. Ferguson puts the A-List up one meet to none.

[Cut to Jason Snow lining up Chandler Tsonda for a kick.]

TH V/O: Things wouldn't be as pretty for the A-List from here on out. Last Man Standing, and Chandler Tsonda didn't stand a chance against BY GAH-REATNESS Jason Snow. Snake Eyes superkick and Tsonda is seeing stars.

[Cut to Dusk lining up Lowell for a kick.]

TH V/O: Deja vu in the tag match, as Dusk nails Lowell Dot Com with his version of the Superkick, Broken Glass. Facey can't make the save because Mr. Silver keeps him from doing it. PRIME takes the meet and clinch their spot in the playoffs. Steve?

[Cut to Matthew Kurtis with Rob Franklin doubled over.]

SM V/O: MWCW looking to win their third in as many meets, but they have a REBEL squad eager to play spoiler. Matthew Kurtis taking on MVW candidate Rob Franklin, and he's getting hammered here. Kurtis clubbing on Franklin here with those granite-like forearms.

[Cut to Franklin running the ropes.]

SM V/O: Franklin comes back here nailing Kurtis, keeping him off balance. Here, he's dropping the flying forearm.

[Cut to Franklin on the top rope.]

SM V/O: And here, the missile dropkick. That's how you make up for a size difference.

[Cut to Kurtis behind Franklin.]

SM V/O: Kurtis though, too powerful to keep down for too long. He grabs Franklin from behind by his shoulders and just tosses him halfway across the ring.

[Cut to Franklin on the top rope again.]

SM V/O: But Franklin, he's been inspired this whole tournament, and here he is, the Icebreaker headbutt from the man newly dubbing himself the Unforgiven. That's enough to take out Kurtis and give MWCW the one up advantage.

[Cut to Kyle Roberts and Drunken Tiger.]

SM V/O: Next match, pinfalls only between Drunken Tiger and another MVW candidate if REBEL was doing better. Roberts starts off working Tiger low, kicks to the gut and then a big kick to the head.

[Cut to Roberts whipping Tiger off the ropes.]

SM V/O: Roberts taking it to Tiger here, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.

[Cut to Tiger chopping at Roberts.]

SM V/O: Tiger comes back, chopping Roberts every which way. Sideways, overhand, he's chopping him like wood.

[Cut to Tiger whipping Roberts into the ropes.]

SM V/O: And here, taking the Stylin' One and drilling him with a powerslam.

[Cut to Roberts with Tiger over his shoulders.]

SM V/O: The REBEL Champion comes back, lifting the massive Korean over his shoulders and dropping him with the Moose Jaw Driver (DVD). Can't finish Tiger off with it though.

[Cut to Tiger with Roberts in a military press.]

SM V/O: Tiger comes back, gorilla press, but he can't put Roberts away.

[Cut to Roberts with Tiger over the shoulder.]

SM V/O: But the Champ comes back, and again, he's got Tiger lifted up... and DROPPED. Emerald Fusion, and he gets the pinfall. Meet tied up at one.

[Cut to Adam Cash being manhandled by Al B. Damned and Casanova]

SM V/O: Last match was the tag match, and Sarge, true to his word, let Adam Cash go to the wolves. Al B. Damned and Casanova here with a 3D, and REBEL gets their first win.

[Cut back the studio, close up of Tom Holzerman.]

TH: Too bad for REBEL that it wasn't enough for them to get in the playoffs. MWCW made it though, and due to their head-to-head success over A1E, they win Group A over them, and thus get a bye. EPW gets the other bye. AS for the other four playoff spots, Mike Randalls wasn't trying to do anything but send a message to his own roster and EPW, but he got NFW into the playoff round. Who would they face? How about the A-List and PRIME. Due to a tie between NFW and the A-List, both teams made the playoffs and there will be a special three way meet with PRIME. That winner will take on MWCW. In the other wild card match, A1E battles TEAM for the right to take on EPw. Anyway, now that everything's settled, that's enough for us. I'm Tom Holzerman...

SM: And I'm Steve Murray. Thanks for watching, and make sure you tune into all the playoff action on ASN.

TH: Goodnight, America.
