[Fade into the EPICENTER desk, Tom Holzerman, sitting behind a Dupree Cup Week 2 inset.]

TH: Hello everyone and welcome to this edition of EPICENTER Express, a quick recap of what went down in the Dupree Cup, and in summary, there were a few draws and a lot of sloppiness, but I'll take you through each meet. First up, the defending Dupree Cup Champions taking on the team that was favored to win last year. NEW and EPW.

[Cut to the ring in The Pit, Larry Tact and Karl Brown locking up.]

TH V/O: First match, Karl Brown and Larry Tact, and NEW is cruising early in this match. Tact here ducking a lariat from the Dragon and segueing cleanly into a Rude Awakening-style neckbreaker here. Big impact.

[Cut to Tact with Brown in a front waistlock.]

TH V/O: The Number One Contender to the NEW Championship follows that one up with a sweet looking belly to belly suplex.

[Cut to Brown running the ropes.]

TH V/O: Karl Brown comes storming back though, running the ropes here and launching right into Tact with a leg lariat.

[Cut to Brown behind Tact.]

TH V/O: And here, the Dragon wearing down Larry Tact with a, you guessed it, Dragon sleeper.

[Cut to Tact running the ropes.]

TH V/O: Tact coming right back, here jamming his knee right into the Dragon's stomach, sending him to the mat.

[Cut to Tact on the top rope.]

TH V/O: Tact going for the Dive to Blue here, but the elbow drop does not find the mark. Karl Brown gets up and behind Tact and then nails him with a bridging German suplex, getting the pin. Brown gives EPW a quick 1-0 lead.

[Cut to Dan Ryan and Shawn Hart atop the scaffolding.]

TH V/O: They'd clinch in the next match, with Shawn Hart not putting up much of a fight at all against the Ego Buster Dan Ryan. Ryan here knocking him from atop the scaffolding through those tables onto the canvas with that big right haymaker. EPW clinches the meet and goes for the sweep in the tag match.

[Cut to Jason Payne grappling with Lindsay Troy.]

TH V/O: Jason Payne and John Doe, the latter replacing the erstwhile HAL, taking on Sean Stevens and Lindsay Troy. Payne having his way with the former Champion of Champions early, here leveling her with a short-arm clothesline.

[Cut to Stevens in the ring with Payne.]

TH V/O: After a hot tag, Stevens comes in and cleans house, hitting Payne with that flying forearm.

[Cut to Payne battling with Stevens.]

TH V/O: Payne fights right back, decking Stevens with those hammer-like rights, going into side belly-to-belly suplex, the kind you'd see in Ultimate Fighting.

[Cut to Stevens with Doe in a standing headscissors.]

TH V/O: But unlike Troy's hot tag, Payne's doesn't pay off. He tags in John Doe, and Doe just gets manhandled. Here he eats a piledriver from Stevens.

[Cut to all four competitors in the ring.]

TH V/O: End of the match, and all four wrestlers in the ring. Payne waylaying into Troy, and Stevens on Doe. Payne drills Troy with the Payne Killer [nelson slam], and Stevens takes out Doe with the X-Factor [superkick]. Both make pinfalls, but the ref is only counting Stevens' on Doe. Stevens and Doe are the legal men! Payne notices this, gets up and tries to break up the pin, but he's too late. EPW escapes with the sweep, and they hand NEW their first Dupree Cup loss in one and a half tournaments.

[Cut to the US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, Danny Ferguson and Shin'ya Funabashi in the ring.]

TH V/O: Onto the A-List taking on the free agent TEAM team. After Sean Edmunds and Chandler Tsonda were both disqualified for testing positive for too much illegal hairspray, we come to the Funabashi/Ferguson affair. Ferguson comes out guns blazing in this one, hitting the puro superstar with a right cross and then an elbow shot to the nose.

[Cut to Ferguson trying to climb the corner to get the baseball bat.]

TH V/O: Ferguson trying to go for the baseball bat, but he's a bit too early, as Funabashi hurries over, picks him right out from the corner and delivers an electric chair suplex.

[Cut to Funabashi whipping Ferguson off the ropes.]

TH V/O: And here, off the Irish whip, the man known as Mount Tsuki just drills Ferguson with that spinning spinebuster.

[Cut to Funabashi going for the bat.]

TH V/O: Funabashi now going for the baseball bat, but Ferguson still has some life left in him. He drags Funabashi off the turnbuckles by his tights and nails him with a back suplex.

[Cut to Ferguson on the top going for the bat.]

TH V/O: Ferguson now going for the bat, and he grabs it. He lines up a shot on Funabashi, but Mt. Tsuki, in a feat of great dexterity and impact toughness on his hands, catches the bat shot and starts to play tug of war with the bat. Funabashi wins, but referee Monet Samuel gets right in the Japanese superstar's face. He didn't retrieve the bat, so he can't use it. In their arguing though, Ferguson sneaks up behind Funabashi and rolls him up for the one-two-three. The A-List takes the lead, and the best TEAM can hope for is a tie.

[Cut to Harley Douglas and Mike Wade in the ring.]

TH V/O: Harley Douglas and Ulysis Solian battling the Un... uh, bleep-ables, and this one was an entertaining affair. Douglas and Mike Wade in the ring, and Douglas makes Wade eat a few right hands before sending him to the mat with a clothesline.

[Cut to the Illustrious Face-Eater with Douglas in a front facelock.]

TH V/O: Facey saves the day momentarily though, coming in and here he drills Douglas with a stiff gordbuster.

[Cut to Solian in the ring with Facey in the corner.]

TH V/O: But you know you're never too far out of the match when this year's Merritt Trophy runner-up, Ulysis Solian, is on your team. Solian flies into the corner, splashing Facey, but it's far from over after that. He hooks Facey and a DDT. He calls that the Boricua Splash.

[Cut to Wade scooping Solian.]

TH V/O: Wade asserts himself here though, nailing Solian with that shoulderbreaker.

[Cut to Solian and Wade battling outside the ring, Facey and Douglas inside.]

TH V/O: Solian and Wade battling on the outside, and Facey and Douglas on the inside. Douglas looks to have Facey finished, going for the Piston DDT, but Facey at the last second elbows the former FREE FOR ALL~! Champion in the gut and counters with a Northern Lights suplex. With Solian preoccupied, no one is there to break the pin up, and the A-List takes this match, two wins to a draw.

[Cut to Kyle Roberts grappling with Big Dog.]

TH V/O: Back to Albuquerque, and it's A1E battling REBEL. First up, a battle of World Champions, and Kyle Roberts had the upper-hand on Big Dog early. Out of the grapple, he peppers the Biggest Dog in the Yard with European uppercuts and then sends a dazed Dog into the ropes. On the rebound, a knee lift.

[Cut to Dog prone on the canvas.]

TH V/O: Roberts running to the ropes now and a Lionsault right onto Dog's ribs. That can't be good for the A1E Champ, but he would come back.

[Cut to Dog with Roberts in the corner.]

TH V/O: Big Dog here punishing the Stylin' One's ribs with those big soup bones. Surprised that Roberts didn't cough up blood after this match after that.

[Cut to Dog whipping Roberts off the ropes.]

TH V/O: And here, Roberts eats a huge, Arn Anderson-quality spinebuster.

[Cut to Dog with Roberts over his shoulder.]

TH V/O: Dog going to finish this match off with the Dog Pound, but Roberts slides off Dog's back. As soon as Dog turns around, Roberts goes for the Fusion, but Dog slips behind his shoulders. He then goes for the Backdrop Driver, but somehow, Roberts flips at the peak and drills Dog with a reverse DDT. The shock catches Big Dog off guard, and Roberts gets the pin, putting REBEL up one match to zero.

[Cut to the Boiler Room.]

TH V/O: It was all downhill from there for REBEL though. Here in the Boiler Room Brawl, Beast just manhandles Matthew Kurtis. Here he is GORE~!-ing Kurtis into the concrete wall, giving him a clear path out of the room, tying the meet up.

[Cut to FEAR on Ivan Dalekchev's shoulders.]

TH V/O: And then in the tag match, A1E cements the victory with the CHRONIC COLLIZION~! taking out FEAR and KRENSHOV. Here we see Erik Black delivering the Chronic Crasher [TR Rock Bottom off of Dalekchev's shoulders] and giving A1E its first win.

[Cut to The Sergeant with Kin Hiroshi in a Dragon sleeper]

TH V/O: Onto the next meet, and this one was a suprising massacre. MWCW against NFW, and it's almost like the New Frontier didn't even show up. First, Kin Hiroshi shown here tapping to Sarge and his Corrective Training...

[Cut to Rob Franklin on the top rope with a crown of barbed wire.]

TH V/O: ...and here, Rob Franklin gets SUPER X-TREEM, putting a crown of thorns-like barbed wire halo on his head and nailing Mittens with the Icebreaker headbutt...

[Cut to Drunken Tiger with Yori Yakamo, Jr. doubled over.]

TH V/O: And to complete the drubbing, Drunken Tiger nails Yori Yakamo Junior with the Reunification, and Blade makes sure Professor Tremendous doesn't make the save. MWCW with the unlikely sweep, and they've got five points thus far, tied with EPW with the overall lead.

[Cut to Dusk lining up Onslaught.]

TH V/O: And in the last meet, well, the first two matches were draws due to various failed drug tests, and the tag match between Dusk and Van Ness and Arrows and Onslaught would decide the Wrestling's Finest against PRIME meet, and this match wasn't even close either. It was all Dusk, he didn't need Van Ness, and here he finishes off Onslaught with his version of the superkick, Lights Out. PRIME ekes out the win despite the draws, and they get their first points of the tournament.

[Cut back to the studio]

TH: That'll be it for now, be sure to tune in for more highlights and news, and to check the standings thus far, please check TEAM's site. Thanks, and good night.
