[Fade into Tom Holzerman in front of the big screen, all three TEAM Championship Belts staggered around the Merritt Trophy.]

TH: The city of New Orleans was struck by tragedy two years ago. They're rebuilding now, but there's still alot of progress left to be made. That's why we here at TEAM are there to help. SuperShow V, all proceeds going to help rebuild the Crescent City... and the highlights are coming up next!

[Cue up "Down" by Stone Temple Pilots.
Cut to JASON PAYNE, shouting out in primal fury with a man's blood as his war paint.
Cut to MR. AMAZING! delivering Amazing Grace to JAKE HIX.
Cut to YORI YAKAMO, JR. grappling PROFESSOR TREMENDOUS.
Cut to ULYSIS SOLIAN staring down RAVAGER.

Cut to DAN RYAN hoisting the Merrit Trophy, then flash cut to D! with the Championship of Champions Belt across his waist, then flash cut to Team NEW hoisting the Dupree Cup.

Cut to: The Epicenter logo once more, fading into Tom Holzerman and Steve Murray at the Epicenter desk.]

TH: Hello everyone and welcome to EPICENTER! I'm Tom Holzerman, along with Steve Murray, and we had a night full of action.

SM: Yep Tom, a lot of tight finishes and close calls, and all for good cause too. Let's dive right into the highlights.

[Cut to Murray in front of a Championship of Champions inset.]

SM: Take two. At SuperShow IV, Spoiler was nowhere to be found, Lindsay Troy was pissed at Professor Tremendous' meddling, and Jason Payne, well, he just wanted a piece of the pie. All of that business mixed together and the result? A postponed Championship of Champions match with Payne added in. Let's go right to the action.

[Cut to the arena, Payne whipping Troy into the ropes.]

SM V/O: First up, we have Payne taking control early on, whipping the Champion of Champions into the ropes, right into a big lariat. If you think Payne was being a bully to the smaller Troy, well...

[Cut to Spoiler with overhand rights on Payne.]

SM V/O: ...here's one of the only men in wrestling who can bully around Jason Payne. Clubbing rights to Payne's chest followed up by a Spoilershot right to the mug.

[Cut to Troy ready to attack Spoiler.]

SM V/O: But don't look now, the Queen of the Ring proves that it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but it's the size of the fight in the dog. Spinning heel kick, but Spoiler is barely fazed. Another spin heel kick and he's wobbly, but the third one takes him down.

[Cut to Spoiler up with Troy by the hair.]

SM V/O: But while hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, a woman scorned hath no fury like the Force of Nature. Spoiler just yanking Lindsay up by the hairs on her head and tossing her like a rag doll.

[Cut to Spoiler off the ropes.]

SM V/O: And here with the sweet Spoilerline on Troy. The Co-MVW of the Dupree Cup looking like a Champion.

[Cut to Payne right beside Spoiler.]

SM V/O: But who comes to the rescue? Jason Payne does, here with a nice side Russian leg sweep.

[Cut to Payne behind Spoiler.]

SM V/O: And here with the back suplex. Payne showing major power being able to manhandle the Force of Nature like that.

[Cut to Troy standing in front of Payne.]

SM V/O: And how does Troy repay him? With a kick right to the face. Ouch, just looking at that roundhouse makes my cheekbones sore.

[Cut to Payne on Spoiler's shoulders.]

SM V/O: A little teamwork from The Queen and Spoils, putting aside their hatred of one another to take out the usurper upon their match. Doomsday Device, but Payne's not out of this match yet.

[Cut to Troy in Spoiler's grasp.]

SM V/O: But first, the teamwork dissolves quickly as Spoiler goes for the chokeslam, but Troy deftly breaks out by nailing Spoiler in the face with a kick right as she's at the height of the maneuver. That leaves her wide open though...

[Cut to Payne with Troy in a full nelson.]

SM V/O: As Payne lays in wait and nails her with the Payne Killer. The first half of this match should be over for Payne, but before he can make the pinfall, Spoiler nails him with Sweet Spoiler Music. Payne flips over the top rope, and Spoiler's looking for Troy behind him on the mat. Funny thing though... she's not there. Troy recovered while Payne was deliberating and Spoiler was taking him out and now she's on the top rope. She jumps and lands the knockout blow on Spoils. Top rope enzugiri, and with those educated feet, it's nighty-night. Troy gets the pin and barely escapes with her title. Meanwhile, Jason Payne is stewing on the outside, not even getting a chance to figure in the decision. Tom?

[Cut to the ring again, this time, Rob Franklin and Ravager.]

TH V/O: Alright, we're going to show you every single fall that happened in this Marathon for Charity Match for Ravager's Challenge Championship. Rob Franklin opens the scoring up here nailing Ravager with a sleeper drop and getting the quick pin.

[Cut to Franklin launching off the top rope at Ravager.]

TH V/O: Franklin goes up two-zip on the Champ here after this picture perfect missile dropkick finds Ravager right in the face. He scores the pin afterwards.

[Cut to Ravager prone with Franklin on the top.]

TH V/O: The Champ catches a break here, Franklin going for the moonsault, but Ravager gets his knees up. He pops up, DDT and cuts the lead to 2-1.

[Cut to Franklin behind Ravager.]

TH V/O: But Franklin comes right back and nails Ravager with the bridging German suplex. 3-1, and things are looking bleak for the Champion.

[Cut to Ravager kicking Franklin in the gut.]

TH V/O: But Ravager's still got fight in him, getting a bridging suplex pin of his own, this one, a Northern Lights.

[Cut to Ravager with Franklin in a pretty painful looking submission.]

TH V/O: And here, the White Collar Assassin ties it up, getting Franklin to tap to that step-over toehold with the inverted facelock. He calls that the Garrote.

[Cut to Franklin whipping Ravager.]

TH V/O: Franklin grabs control back momentarily, here whipping Ravager, but the Champ reverses it into a front facelock that he turns into a brainbuster. He gets the quick pin and the crowd goes nuts as the Champ takes his first lead of the match.

[Cut to Franklin grabbing Ravager.]

TH V/O: It's short-lived, though, as Franklin grabs Ravager and lifts him into the air. He crashes him down into a move Franklin calls the Super DDT and it's all tied up again.

[Cut to Franklin on the top rope again.]

TH V/O: Thirty seconds left, and Franklin going for his other signature move, the Icebreaker headbutt. He's flying but he crashes to the mat as Ravager moves! The Champ springs up, gets behind Franklin... Last Resort dragon suplex! He gets the pin and is up by one, and that, my friends is how the score would be at the end of the match. Ravager runs out the clock.

[Cut back to the studio.]

TH: Of course, both men more than made up for the mishaps that befell them this week with the winnings for charity in this match. TEAM officials announced after the match that they were adding an extra $5,000 to Franklin's total donated by Krystal Burger to make his total even with Ravager's. In addition, TEAM matched the total amount of money raised in the match.

[Cue up Led Zeppelin, "No Quarter." Cut to Harley Douglas, Fred Cook, Jeffords, Captain Suleimon and El Pantera in the ring.]

SM V/O: Coming up, the FREE FOR ALL~! match got some unexpected visitors. Did this figure in the decision all that much? That and more, after the break.

[Cut to a commercial for Wendy's.]

[Fade in from commercial to Steve Murray at the TEAM desk with a James Irish/Nova inset.]

SM: The feelgood stories from 2006. James Irish finally got to the top of the heap in A1E, and Nova went from Rising to becoming Risen. They took different paths after those shining moments, but each's path led here, to a Number One Contender's Match for the Championship of Champions.

[Cut to the arena.]

SM V/O: Nova starts out like a house on fire, chopping James' chest til it's redder than a beet.

[Cut to Nova whipping Irish off the ropes.

SM V/O: And here, Nova with the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker off the Irish whip on... Irish! Heh, funny.

[Cut to Irish with Nova in a trapping front underhook.]

SM V/O: James does come back, and you mnow what this means... Headbanger's Ball! Nova is a bit loopy, and not from drugs this time either.

[Cut to Nova with Irish in a Rock Bottom-esque position.]

SM V/O: But not so loopy that he couldn't hit James with that sambo suplex.

[Cut to Irish with Nova in a double underhook.]

SM V/O: James comes right back though, and they don't call him the master of the DDT for nothing. Underhook DDT here...

[Cut to Irish running towards Nova.]

SM V/O: And here's one of the jump-swinging variety.

[Cut to Nova kicking Irish in the gut.]

SM V/O: Nova right back in control, here hitting the Dying Star Drop (Fameasser) on Irish.

[Cut to Nova with Irish in reverse DDT position.]

SM V/O: Nova looking to finish this one off with Bourbon for Breakfast, how appropriate in New Orleans, but James is a fighter, landing elbows to Nova's gut before he can get the leg hooked. James is free and LARIATO!

[Cut to Irish on the top rope.]

SM V/O: For the coup de grace, James off the top, Funk #49 (somersault leg drop) and it's over. James Irish gets the one-two-three and banks himself a Championship of Champions shot.

[Cut to the arena again, this time full of wrestlers!]

TH V/O: Alrighty, FREE FOR ALL~! match, and what was thought to be a match with just Fred "The Poet" Cook and Champion Harley Douglas turned into more of a FREE FOR ALL~! after a bevy of superstars crashed the party. First it was former A1E superstar El Pantera, and then current PRIMEate Captain Suleimon. Finally, it looked as if NEW bigwig The Phantom Republican would get in on the action, but he was just sending his Secret Service agent Jeffords into the fray.

[Cut to Douglas with Jeffords leaning back on the ropes.]

TH V/O: First elimination comes as Douglas clotheslines Jeffords over the top rope. GOP can't be pleased with that.

[Cut to Cook running the ropes.]

TH V/O: Then the Poet bids a fond adieu, using his forearm to knock El Pantera over the top rope.

[Cut to Suleimon on the top rope.]

TH V/O: Suleimon looking to put a hurting on Cook here, but Douglas notices he's not quite in the best position for this kind of match. He leaps onto the second turnbuckle and shoves Suleimon right out onto the floor. Ouch. The Sultan of Smackdown was alright though, no major injuries.

[Cut to the Poet and Douglas.]

TH V/O: That leaves us with two. The Poet and Harley Douglas. The Poet strikes first, peppering Douglas with slaps and chops here.

[Cut to Cook whipping Douglas.]

TH V/O: And right here, a well placed knee to the gut by the Poet. I wonder if that's in iambic pentameter... who knows?

[Cut to Douglas with Cook's arm.]

TH V/O: Here Douglas gets back in control, arm wringer into the hook kick.

[Cut to Douglas running the ropes.]

TH V/O: A little more high-impact here, discus clothesline and a beaut.

[Cut to Douglas with Cook in a front facelock.]

TH V/O: And here, right handed DDT that Douglas calls the Piston. This should be over, but Poet won't go over the top. He hangs on for dear life and makes it back in the ring.

[Cut to Cook running the ropes.]

TH V/O: Cook looking to put this away, Douglas by the ropes, and The Poet runs in with an elbow. The only problem is that Douglas doesn't go over the top. Cook tries again, but Douglas ducks and pulls the top rope down. The Poet goes flying over the top, and Harley Douglas finds a way to hold onto his FREE FOR ALL~! Championship. Steve?

[Cut to Dan Ryan and Karl Brown.]

SM V/O: Last year's Merritt winner against this year's Merritt winner battle, and last year got the aerly advantage. Karl Brown taking it to the larger Dan Ryan with speed, first here, peppering the Ego Buster's legs with those kicks.

[Cut to Brown with Ryan in a single crab.]

SM V/O: And here with the submission hold. If Ryan can't walk, he can't win.

[Cut to Ryan whipping Brown.]

SM V/O: But Ryan can still walk, unfortunately for Karl here. Whip into a picture-perfect tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.

[Cut to Ryan with Brown in a front waistlock.]

SM V/O: Ryan gets his suplex on here, nailing the Dragon with a belly to belly.

[Cut to Brown running.]

SM V/O: The Dragon won't be denied though. Flying forearm to Ryan, but Ryan bounces right back.

[Cut to Brown prone, Ryan on the second turnbuckle.]

SM V/O: Split-legged moonsault here. Great agility here, and I think Ryan pulled that one out because he couldn't hit it in the Merritt Final against Solian.

[Cut to Brown on the top.]

SM V/O: Karl gets some momentum back, but it's not going to end well for him. Dragon-rana attempt gets countered right into a Humility Bomb! Dan Ryan wins the battle of the Merritt Trophy winners, and afterwards, they share a handshake of respect.

[Cut back to the studio.]

TH: That'll do it for us. BE sure to tune into the Tournament of Champions 2007, live from Chicago, Illinois.

SM: Jason Snow, Victor Mandrake, Big Dog, Larry Tact, Ravager and a score of others have signed on. D! came out of nowhere and won last year, but he's conspicuous by his absence this year. Who will take his place?

TH: We'll find out July 2nd. Until then, for Steve Murray, I'm Tom Holzerman. Have a good night, everyone.
