Lane Cash vs. Bonecrusher: So... yeah.
Alexander Hayes vs. Hijo de Sombra: Hayes advances. I think he's on the right track with the direction he wants to go, but hopefully his work will be better with an opponent RPing against him the next round.
Shawn Jessica Hart vs. Bob Praxis: SJH wins with the boot to the head!
Ken Cloverleaf vs. Lex Taylor: Ken wins with another boot to the head!
August Joyce vs. Joe the Plumber: Appears I will not get to see the massively hyped Plumber. Joyce moves on.
Jethro Hayes vs. Vincenzo Savonarola: Try saying Vincenzo's name fast 10 times! Seriously, I love the name and the guy is moving on.
Jeffrey Roberts vs. Demon: Evidently Demon's handler got intimidated by Dave Brunk looking to redeem himself for that Dan Ryan RP. Roberts advances.
Deacon vs. Rezin: What's with all the no shows in this bracket? Deacon had good work and moves on.
Jack Harmen vs . Tyler Boyd: Harmen with good work -- Boyd with no work. You know the drill.
Troy Windham vs. Eugene Dewey: See, this is how you can do narrative while incorporating motivation, intent and hype, all relating back to what you think about the match and your opponent. Both guys pulled it off well. I give the edge to Troy because, IMO, he did a better job of getting to the point in both RPs.
Lucious Starr vs. Shamon: I really like the Shamon character. I couldn't get into Lucious Starr, though. Shamon is my pick.
Pat Gordon Jr. vs. Suicide: Wow, we get a backstory in a first-round matchup! Awesome. And a pretty close matchup between two good RPers. I think Suicide has the edge, but I could see Gordon winning just as easily.
Freddie Sagawa vs. Kevin Hardaway: Each guy tried something unique with their RPs and I think Sagawa pulled it off better, so I think Sagawa advances.
Kevin Watson vs. Javid Dones: This is another close matchup. I thought Watson did a good job but Dones was more to the point and I'd go with him.
Henry Dylan vs. Kevin Powers: I've always been a Powers fan, but he drew a tough matchup. I liked what Dylan brought to the table. And while I like Powers, I'm going with Dylan in this one.
Felicia Hart vs. John McDonough: Felicia's work was solid while John's work was really good. I go with McDonough.
