Draw: +2 points and no change of win streak(1)

Tag Team Matches:
Win: +5 points to the legal man that scores the fall and increase of win streak(2)
+3 points to all other team members and no change of win streak
This includes wins by Disqualification
Loss: +0 points to the legal man that takes the fall and loss of win streak(2)
+1 point to all other team members and no change of win streak
Draw: +2 points all around and no win streak changes(1)

Clusterfucks: (3)
Win: +5 points, increase of win streak
Loss: +0 points, no change of win streak (4)
Draw: +3 to those involved in causing the draw(1)(5)
Match finish is based on the level of defeat. If someone is barely beaten in the RP battle, a DQ, countout or forfeit is awarded. If it’s beyond a shadow of a doubt that someone won, 5 points are awarded.

If a match is won by DQ, league owners could step in and offer up bonus points for fulfilling criteria later in the show. Likewise, a match could be won by a wrestler by pinfall, but due to outside interference unnoticed by the referee points can be deducted to reflect a “flash” win. This can be played with or not even implemented by league owners.

All matches can have their points awarded on a special basis. For example, a tornado tag match or elimination match can have points awarded on an ad-hoc basis.

Bonus Points:

Main Event Bonus:
In the event that a match should be moved from its spot on the card due to superior performance from the competitors, each competitor in the match in +2 for each competitor if their match is moved to the main event as has happened twice now.

Streak Bonus:
For every win starting from win number three, +1 will be awarded to the number in the win streak and awarded as points. E.g. for win number three, +1 bonus points will be awarded, for win number four, +2 bonus points will be awarded, for win number five +3 bonus points will be awarded, and so on. This will continue to accumulate until the win streak is ended in a singles or tag team match. If the win streak is not increased, i.e. the wrestler is on the winning team in a tag match, but does not score the winning fall, no bonus points will be awarded.

Streak Breaker:
If an opponent who is currently earning a streak bonus is defeated and loses their win streak, i.e. they are the person defeated in a singles or tag match, the person that defeats them will earn their ‘streak bonus’ bonus points for that week and that week alone. E.g. last show, a wrestler earned +1 for their third win in a row. This show, that same wrestler is defeated in a singles match. Their opponent will be awarded +2 bonus points for breaking the streak. These will stack with a wrestlers own streak points where applicable.

Headhunter:
When there is a clear leader in a league, that person will have a ‘bounty’ on their head available for collection. If the league leader is defeated in a singles match the person to defeat them will gain +5 bonus points. (6)

Staff Points:
Periodically throughout the season Defiance Staff will be able to offer up bonus points for performing feats deemed worthy of bonus points. These can range from body slam challenges to bounties for making specific stars bleed. Staff Points will be awarded after completion of these feats and will be valued on an ad-hoc basis. There will be no upper or lower limit on points awarded for these feats. At the time of this writing, Cito Conarri may offer bonus points in Heritage League, Elijah Goldman may offer bonus points in Evolution League, and Eric Dane and Jeff Andrews may offer bonus points in either league.

Clusterfuck Bonus:
+1 point will be awarded to the winner of a clusterfuck match for every competitor involved over 2 competitors. This means that if a triple threat match is won, +5 will be awarded for the win and +1 for the victory over two other competitors. +2 will be awarded for fatal four way matches and so on.(7)

Underdog Bonus:
If a wrestler beats a wrestler who is 10 or more points ahead of them in the rankings, they receive one quarter the amount of points they are behind. If the point total is 0.5 or below, it is rounded down, .6 or above it is rounded up. (A wrestler who defeated someone 20 points ahead of them would receive 5 bonus points, a wrestler who defeated someone 10 points ahead of them would receive 2).
Post Show Feedback Bonus:
Best Podcast: 1pt (Voted for by feedback posters. Must be on the active roster, cannot vote for self. Voting last for two days after the show is posted.)
Show MVP (In Character): 2pts (selected by fedheads, the person they felt really stepped up in segments/RPs) (Can be shared between two people, 1pt each)
Inter-League Points:

+1 IL point awarded to wrestler for defeating a member of the opposing league’s roster. Should the points be tied at the end of the season then IL points would decide who comes above whom in the rankings.

At the end of the season the league with the most IL points gets one extra bye into the playoffs.

No-Show Forfeits:

If a show is not RPed for, the handlers character(s) will lose their match(es), any streaks they may have and be docked 5 points. If a handler has multiple characters but only no-shows as one of them, only the no-showing character will be docked. As a general rule of thumb, two consecutive no-shows will get you fired, at which point if you want back in you’ll have to reapply.

At staff discretion, fewer or no points may be docked for a no-show. If you think you’re going to have trouble posting it is better to ask staff for the card off. A message sent to Justin or Jeff (or preferrably both of them) through PM or over AIM is the way to go about this.

If you would wish/need to not be booked a particular week, a PM or AIM message to Justin or Jeff will not be ignored and could be the difference between you keeping a streak bonus or losing 5 points.

(1) Draws will occur when neither RPer is judged to be better than the other. Examples of draw finishes include but are not limited to, Double Countouts and Double Disqualifications.
(2) The legal man is defined as the person tagged into the match at the time of the fall. In cases where there are multiple legal men, i.e. Tornado Tag matches, all participants are considered legal and will receive the same points and streak changes as their partners, whether they are involved in the decision or not. Streak breakers can be earned in Tag Team matches, but will only be awarded if the person with the streak is defeated and will only go to those making the fall.
(3) A clusterfuck is defined as a match with more than two participants where competitors are in an 'all against all' situation. Examples include triple threat/three way dance and fatal four way/four way dance matches.
(4) Owing to the nature of the clusterfuck environment, it has been judged unfair to penalise anyone with losing their streak because of anybody else’s shortcomings in the match. Win streaks cannot be lost in clusterfucks, only built upon. Bonus points for streak breaker can also not be collected.
(5) Draws in clusterfucks will occur when there is judged to be more than one winner. For example, two competitors could simultaneously cause another to submit, thus making them both winners.
(6)Headhunters can only be won in a cut and dry case and, therefore, can only be won in a one on one match. This can be either a gimmick or regular singles match.
(7) clusterfuck bonus points will not be available in matches where eliminations are in effect. Points for eliminations will be distributed instead. These will be announced in the show cards at the start of the RP period.

Please be aware that matches can have additional chances for points at any time. This is a guide to the basic points offered for any match on any card. Any changes to individual matches will be announced on the show card at the start of the RP period.

The points system is designed so that anybody can join anywhere in the season and still stand a chance to make it to the playoffs in the postseason. There will be plenty of opportunities for points throughout the season, so if you are considering joining don’t be put off that the league leaders appear to be uncatchable. They really aren’t.

Points tables will be updated and released following each week’s show(s) via ‘Points With The Professor’, a show hosted by ‘The Professor’ Alexander Noble and ‘The Danish Demon’ Mikael Lundgard. Noble is Defiance’s resident number cruncher, while Lundgard is a retired wrestler from Denmark, brought in to provide an insight into the action from the shows and to keep and check on ‘The Professor’s’ calculations after being incorrect on several occasions. The Noble Points Prize awarded at the end of each show is strictly decorative and bears no relevance to league standings. There is no reward for winning the prize, the prize is reward in and of itself.
