NEW BOARDS: Updates and Issues

As you've seen by now, the forums have moved to a new URL and been upgraded. I think you know that I usually like to give you a heads-up. Apparently the server folks did an upgrade to a few things that ended up breaking the old version of vBulletin. I had intended to upgrade in a few weeks when our custom style was done and I had time to play.

I haven't had a chance to play with everything yet, but I'll continue to post some updates as I do. Feel free to post things you notice here as well as any bugs or problems.

For some reason I can make posts, but I can't edit them. Also, Coranto still won't let me modify or create league news. I cleared my cache, still having the same problems.

Doesn't seem to want to remember me when I leave the site. And when I click the little house symbol, it says I don't have permission to view that page.

Just to make sure -- did you clear your cookies and cache just to see if that worked? I haven't experienced this yet, but I'll keep looking for fixes, etc.

You had the edit problem before the upgrade too, right? I'm not sure what's going on with your crazy setup.

Is Coranto just timing out? We've had some server timeouts because another site I host has some broken scripts (caused by the PHP upgrade) that appear to be delaying things periodically. Working on it.

Yeah, Coranto's timing out. Forums still won't let me edit (they time out on me); having time out problems with replies now and then as well. Might just be on my end.

Billy's still on Prodigy. The cookies clearing seemed to work for me.

Yeah, clearing my cookies also resolved my "not being logged in on the main screen" problem. I'm still trying to figure out what the different-colored envelopes mean, perhaps due to some latent brain damage I've caused myself.

I've been in and out of Coranto all day and haven't had any issues. Let me know if you need me to make any modifications or add anything.

However -- the server has been timing out periodically due some script issues on another site, so that could be causing your problems too. I'm working with the hosting provider to fix things. I'll keep updating as I know more.

The thing inserted smiley-faces on every return.

I deleted them all and redid the enters in the text box, and it worked out. But, that was just strange.

I'm also getting the constantly being logged out in between browsing sessions, even though I have my password saved.

Bizarre. I'll run a test out of Word and try it. I only have 2007 though I believe.

It was bumping my earlier today. Once I started a new session, logged in and clicked the "Remember Me" checkbox, it has kept me logged in. Have you cleared cookies during all this just to reset things?
