Since Justin has declared us in a "slump," just an announcement that we will be shutting down ULTRATITLE and moving on to the "next big thing" -- GOLD RUSH TWO! Roleplay will take place now and the card will be posted in a year.

But seriously... :)

Just a quick note of thanks to the judges and writers. Despite Memorial Day weekend and some pressing real life issues, everybody dug in and everything has been submitted. Bracket 3 goes up shortly. I'll likely make you sweat and wait for Bracket 4 until tomorrow to give a little time to digest. Special thanks to Stanton for pulling double duty in writing. And thanks also to Ford and Warren for a spectacular Bracket 4 -- they're giving you longer stuff a round early. Ford and Pete have also jumped in and helped edit/wrap up brackets for me when I didn't have time. Thanks also to all the other judges who have been terrific about getting their votes and content in on time.

And thanks to everybody who has roleplayed, commented, or otherwise gotten involved. I'll keep saying it until you're tired of hearing it -- but the response has been phenomenal and I appreciate it. I've seen more folks get involved in leagues, talk about starting leagues, and I think we're just at the beginning of seeing the impact... and we're only finishing up Round 2 of ULTRATITLE.

I'm sorry, but I can't be bothered with puckering up for you when your super-big-giant return to eWrestling has turned tepid in under two rounds.

Maybe you'll get away with that from the CSWA crowd, but guess what, this isn't 30 years ago and I don't give a **** about CSWA.

The tournament is boring, it doesn't feel special, and I for one could care less whether I win or lose.

Honestly, I'd prefer to lose at this point so I can go back to concentrating on Defiance.

I realize that the entire forum is going to hate me now, but just because you're everyone's Uncle Chad doesn't mean squat to me, you're just another guy who puts out late eWrestling cards and should be treated as such.

Get off your high horse, please and thanks.

A response isn't even necessary. My six year old little sister is more mature than you. The prostitute down the street is classier than you. And my cat is smarter than you. You aren't a "rebel" or someone trying to challenge the status quo; you're just a childish, classless, dumb toolbox. But you're so ignorant that these words (and the others to follow) won't convince you of that.

I know you will continue to think you are so cool, that you are so above us, when the truth is you freaked the hell out about a fake fake wrestling game being run for free, which you joined voluntarily and knowingly.

You lose.

For someone who, on other boards, has often told people to "relax" after you've posted a scathing opinion, I'd think a minimal joke referring to a "slump" you mentioned wouldn't elicit a ridiculous nuclear response.

For the record:
  • Nobody's asked you to pucker up to anything that I'm aware of. Certainly not me.
  • Your opinion about the tournament is fine. At the same time, it's brought back a large number of people, many of whom are sticking around and joining leagues -- which by the way, aren't the CSWA.
  • Sorry you feel the tournament is boring. I've heard other opinions from folks who have been excited about it. I'm sorry your expectations and experience are different.
  • While you might not give a f*** about anything I do, I think Defiance is great and have hyped it in notes I've sent out to the entire board. I was happy to set up forums for DEF and invite folks over to join FW.
  • If Eric Dane doesn't want to face Eli Flair in the next round of ULTRATITLE, I'm sure we can find someone who would like that spot. Your call.

This feels like an offer. Is this an offer? :) I'll get the contracts lined up.

Justin, I like you, but don't be a classless twat. Chad posted a thread thanking people for putting in effort, who cares? He didn't ask people to kiss his ass, it was just a polite reminder from the tournament host that he's grateful to the people who've showed. Kind of the host's job, no?

This thing was always going to have an ebb and flow. I didn't expect the tournament to keep the frenetic pace and enthusiasm from round one going through round three - did anybody else? Once the staggered rounds end, I think the pace will pick up again.

I think it's fair to criticize characters, judges, and the format of the tournament.

Criticizing the tournament host when he was simply thanking people for effort? Not fair at all. Make a criticism because you want to see things improve. Don't come out and just sh*t on people for speaking highly of what's gone on, or for thanking others, just because you've deemed it all to be a failure.

I'm the last person in the world who could ever be accused of kissing Chad's ass. Dude banned me a thousand times, and I'm pretty sure wouldn't have minded doing it again this morning when my criticism caused a judge to wet his pants and go home, but at the end of the day he's spent time (and money) to put together a huge, huge tournament. It was bound to have problems at some point. Lazy people no-showing isn't his fault. Neither is a lack of excitement in the Hype forum.

As a handler, would I love to get some more hype going involving Castor? Yeah. But then I go to write and realize, "I'm NFW champ, trying to work a tag angle in EPW...got some segments and other RPs to write. I could take care of that, or hype Castor in Ultratitle so he can impress the judges, three of which I've never heard of nor read anything from, so that they'll consider putting me over a third consecutive no-show...hmmm, WHICH WILL IT BE?"

I'll tell you this, I'm not writing sh*t until Kheiler posts his first RP. And if he no shows, I will write ONE RP that will get posted exactly an hour before deadline. Chad's fault? No. Just the way it is. Send me a telegram when I draw a guy with his balls on fire.

Overall, Ultratitle hasn't been bad. There's been plenty of RP, and cards have been posted relatively on time. The presumption is that it only gets easier - the no-shows and lazies will be weeded out, and there will be less matches to write. Would I change anything? Yes. 3-5 judges by invitation only, and nobody who hasn't been a long-standing member of FWC (at least 4-5 years). Pretty sure a lot of people would hate that as well, so I'm not going to act like Chad doesn't know what he's doing. His method is probably much better for growing the community than mine would be.

Anyway...went into the weeds there. Don't be classless. I didn't mind your other post, but you jumped the shark here. The guy was just giving some praise...put your dick away and don't come off like you've got g*ddamn Ass-burgers syndrome.

You people have yet to see classless.

Yes, I realize you could have went the extra mile and posted nudie pictures of Chad's wife, hacked the website, and exposed him for running up 1Wrestling.com's credit card bill on a male escort service. Thank you for only doing your semi-worst.

I wonder if Lebron did an poser action scene for this. Really the Ched Merritt stuff was his best work. Of course I just stumbled over one of his posers getting a bj on his site the other day, so maybe i should say 'best work.' Clearly the man was an artist though.

To all: Justin and I are discussing any "issues" we have via PM, so no need for any additional piling on, thanks. :)
