In TWOstars, we can use others without asking and nothing in the rules saying you can't as I did look before hand. So it would be unfair to dock me points when I saw nothing in the rules to say I was wrong.

If I had of known, then I would just have had someone dress-up like him.

Don't be sorry, it was funny! You'll know next time you have a match on FWC, if you stick around, and I hope you do.

I doubt it, but I could be shocked and make it through yet lol.

But I will be entering the next one no matter what.

I don't remember TWOstars allowing you to just go randomly beat up people on a whim when I was on TWO but times change I suppose

Just to add, I didn't think it was necessary to inform people that they couldn't use other people's characters without permission. Seems kind of obvious, right? Like an author using another's character, getting sued, and then saying, "WHAT? I didn't know I couldn't do that!"

But...now you know! lol

Hold the effin' phone.

It's okay to beat the **** out of other people's characters in TWOstars?

Why wasn't I told?

I can sign up, write an RP about kicking **** out of the champion and taking his belt in an impromptu match, and then be the champion.

This is the best possible way to eWrestle.

TWOstars, to my memory anyway, is/was an angle fed but even then there's still limits to what you can do with other people's characters without checking with them.

The excuse just doesn't hold water.

I was in a fed once where I had an opponent who broke into Poison Ivy's house, beat her up while she was in a nightgown, then ran for cover when her man, Eli Flair came home.

I voiced my protest, the owners agreed with me, and he said "Hey man, just chill, you'll see where I'm going with this."

Assuming I was inclined to do so, the issues were as follows:

-Poison Ivy has never owned a house
-Poison Ivy has never worn a nightgown
-Poison Ivy was never in a relationship with Eli Flair, and
-Poison Ivy would not be afraid of anyone.

I replied anyways, where Eli Flair took his opponent to a darkened back alley and shot him in the head with no witnesses. He complained that I used his character without his permission, and did so without a hint of irony.

No, no point, I just like that story.

I've literally never heard of a fed, nay, any roleplaying environment, where you're allowed to use other people's characters unsolicited, and make them do things. I'm just saying, I'm surprised it was possible for that kind of thing to not be known. What's to stop your opponent from making you sodomize a goat, or something? Do you just roll with goat sodomy?

Also Eli, your story made me lol.

Woo, time to weigh in my penny's worth of thoughts here. Lots of close calls, it'll be easier to name the ones that aren't.

"Too Cool" Chris Hopper vs Howard King

Good match-up here. King is a smug politician character, but Hopper had more oomph in the direct-address promos. If King goes over, it could be because he got the first shot and it was good.

Larry Tact vs "Dead End" Derek Martin

Another great pairing. I think Tact has the heart.

'Suite' Pete Whealdon vs gideon

Okay, I have to give props to gideon's handler for doing something weird and unusual. I think the only IRL pro wrestler on the autism spectrum was Eugene, so this is an area I haven't seen explored. Whether it's an accurate representation of the condition or not I can't say, and to some degree it was played for yuks (ie gideon's angst over his inability to grow a mustache.) If I were judging, I'd give it to "Suite Pete" because the tournament needs a dastardly mustache-twirling heel who beats up on the mentally handicapped. But this one, like Zero/Hollywood in B1, will test the judges' tastes to see if they're up for this sort of thing, and they might be.

'Triple X' Sean Stevens vs Jason Murray

The guy who spits curses like tobacco in the old west, or the guy who begins with a quote from a Charlie Kaufman movie? I go with Murray.

Spooky Doom vs Carl Brigsby (j)

Hey, uh, what does that j stand for? Yeah.

Classy Mike C vs Johnny Niles

Mike C has the edge in this one.

Leyondo de Ocho vs Alex LeBlanc

Another tough one between very different characters that will go by the judges' temperament, not just objective quality. I really like Ocho's character so I want him to win, but I'm thinking LeBlanc has the edge.

Space God (j) vs Orphan

Excuse me... what would God need with a starship?

Castor Strife vs Jaguar

Only one man showed up for this party.

Sammy Brown vs Cyanide Harvey

Too bad we only got one apiece from each. Sammy Brown.

Eddie Whiskey vs Chris Walker

Another one-man dance. A win for the man whose username is my character name. (And again, I apologize for the confusion.)

KC Colossus (j) vs Khristain Keller

Look at all these Komedy K's!

The Seargent vs Gemini

It's yet another startling mix of styles. Sergeant came on stronger first but Gemini showed some stuff with his second note. Taking both into account, I'll go Sarge.

Derrick Allen vs Christopher Ryan Eagles

Yeah, party foul here. If the judges crapped on someone committing murder in B1, I doubt they'll be kind to CRE.

Dr. Silver vs Erik Mateo

I remember reading this one and having an opinion, but it was at the top of the page at the time and now I've forgotten. It must've been Dr. Silver because his catchphrase is a Garbage quote.

Anarky vs Terminator (j)

Anarky "will be back" (ugh, you suck, Scotto.)

No, no point, I just like that story.

Similar to Pete's story although not as extreme ...

I think its important to notice that even if, in some crazy alternate FWC or (as far as my experience has of nearly 15 years has shown me) in FW, thats not or never has been allowed.

Lending to the point Justin made, if it were ... then you could just take a title from a champion ala WWF Hardcore Championship.

And In the vein of Pete's post, Eagles missed a few key things....

-Derrick Allen is a heel and has no particular or pre-written loyalty toward his hometown.
--Eagles clearly did some research, as he brought up Allen's sister, and even had a phone call from a "Mr. Douglas" which one can only assume would be Scott Douglas. Which hey, whatever ... you could claim that person to be anyone, and gave him no dialogue.

-Given his alignment and no loyalty kind of deal ... why would Allen be out there signing autographs for the crowd?

and there is probably more, but I gave up caring in the middle of writing this. I pretty much said this on the last EFG Podcast anyway.

Wouldn't Dr Curiosity feel silly getting his ass kicked by Ivy while she's in a nightgown? Somehow, in combat boots and a Casey Stengel jersey it seems less immasculating. :)
That'd just make Impulse feel worse for losing to him so often ;)

Throwing out some picks for B2...

"Too Cool" Chris Hopper vs Howard King
I had never seen King and his politician gimmick in IWF, so both guys were new to me. It's interesting because Phantom Republican is a political-minded character, but here we have a wrestler who is actively in office. Like a few others, I thought his first RP was the better of the two, while Hopper was pretty consistent and got some digs in here and there. I'll give it to Hopper, but can see it going either way.

Larry Tact vs "Dead End" Derek Martin
Not going to predict my match, but I'm glad to have had the chance to go against Bob. He's a longtime player in this game of ours, and the couple times I've been able to face him, it never fails to be fun. All the best!

'Suite' Pete Whealdon vs gideon
I liked the concept of gideon's character, and backed by his sister there's a real great combination. Whealdon was not the funniest guy I've seen in this tournament, but hooked gideon into the mustache thing which helped him. I can see some people thinking some of his work, particularly in second promo, may have been reaching a little, but when you've been the Horowitz IWF of the early 2000s, this fits right in. I would have liked to see more in gideon's first RP -- an extension of the note or something else -- to put him over the top. I'll say this one goes to 'Suite' Pete, but again I could see the judges swinging this the other way.

'Triple X' Sean Stevens vs Jason Murray
I've seen BYW gimmicks before, but Jason Murray pulled it off better than most. Maybe it's the tournament setting, but I thought he framed the character well, and did a good job introducing the audience to the duo. Triple X's first promo felt a little flat to me; the cursing rampage is part of his character, I get that, but it felt like he wasn't able to unleash on Murray the way I'm accustomed to reading Stevens. That could just be the high quality standard Jay's set for the character, though. I did think the second Stevens' promo was better than Murray's second -- Murray was less creative and, I felt, rehashed, while Stevens brought more fire and the part with Ivy seemed more polished and superior to Murray's interplay with Bronte. Overall, I'll choose Triple X, but Murray's efforts made it closer than I expected.

Spooky Doom vs Carl Brigsby (j)
Spooky's adventure is just beginning...

Classy Mike C vs Johnny Niles
I'm thinking neither guy brought their best stuff this round, for whatever reason. I'll go with Classy Mike C because I thought he put in more effort, but definitely needs to step it up next round.

Leyondo de Ocho vs Alex LeBlanc
I liked both of these characters. Ocho has a fun thing going with the video game tie-ins, while LeBlanc did well making his analogy, and bringing a more serious approach. I'm going to say Ocho gets away with the win.

Space God (j) vs Orphan
Orphan proceeds to show everyone that Space God is no Galactus.

Castor Strife vs Jaguar
Castor brings something unique to the tournament. If someone was reading Castor for the first time here, they may love or hate the first RP, given the figurative and literal artistic references and 'high-mindedness' of the character. I thought it was solid work, and the second one provided a glimpse of Castor's knowledge of the other participants, and his view of the field. They did everything needed, while Jaguar did, well... nothing.

Sammy Brown vs Cyanide Harvey
Generic and not a lot of effort here, from either participant. If Harvey has only been on the scene for a few weeks, we need more from him if he's to be viewed as a threat. What is it that brought him to ULTRATITLE, if he's had such minimal experience? Why does he think it's a good idea to enter? How does he think he can advance in a tournament filled with veterans? These are all questions that were not answered. I think Sammy Brown will have a chance to build, because I pick him to advance, but I doubt he will have the luxury of doing the minimum to squeak by against his Round 2 opponent.

Eddie Whiskey vs Chris Walker
Not much Eddie Whiskey had to do here, but note a second mustache in Bracket 2.

KC Colossus (j) vs Khristain Keller
Kristain Keller fells the Colossus.

The Seargent vs Gemini
Sarge brought some quality work here, giving us a nice background and showing why he's in this thing, after his long absence. I liked how he held close his history and made it mean something, instead of just referencing it in passing. I was curious to see how Gemini's RPs would be, because there's that line between ridiculous crazy and crazy enough that I referenced in my B1 predictions. Having heard rumors he killed a cameraman and stitched his mouth in an 'I Quit' match, I thought this may be headed for the too crazy category. In reading the RPs, I didn't think it was. I thought he brought a little humor, a stunt or two like with the taser, and only a little of the crazy showing. I may even have wanted a little more, as I'm not sure the humor fit as much to me. Both were good, but I think Sarge was also better and emerges with the victory.

Derrick Allen vs Christopher Ryan Eagles
When CRE showed up at an Allen 'autograph signing,' I was just waiting for shenanigans to commence. He didn't disappoint with shenanigans, but he did cross the line. Derrick Allen wins.

Dr. Silver vs Erik Mateo
I have to wonder if actually piecing together what Erik Mateo was saying caused me to lose IQ points. That said, it is pretty unique. It's also ridiculous and, really, after a certain point you have to wonder how Tom manages to do this for entire promos. In this case, if each RP was a little shorter, it may have been more effective. My mind can only take so much. Doc Silver was spot on with the ruthless, conniving old bastard we all know he can be, and I'm looking forward to the war of words, and ensuing bloodbath, with Anarky in Round 2.

Anarky vs Terminator (j)
Uh, yeah... Anarky.

Yeah, one day I'll bring my Showtime to FW. Let them tag or something.

Also, the whole no-show left me feeling like I've coasted. I hope the judges are gentle with me next round. And if Chris Walker's handler ever wants a rematch, I'll happily oblige.

I agree with this sentiment. Strife is a love/hate character all the way. When Stanton read my first RP, his reaction was "You artsy f*ck." Something like that. Hey, that's the character! lol
