As Survivor heads towards it's final 5 episodes, it's time for the next game to be ready to be played, two major changes from the last game.
A) We'll be playing Big Brother, not Survivor, the rules of which will be explained in this post.
B) I'm giving the winner 100 dollars. Why? Well mostly because I could go spend 200 for an X-Box and fable, but I've been hearing a buncha mixed reviews, and I really know I'll enjoy running this game.
First of all, I'm not playing in this game, not that I'd last the first vote with real money on the line, but I'll just avoid being an issue totally by just bowing out. One of my characters will be host, most likely Emily filling in for the horrifically useless and awful Julie Chen.
What I expect of those who play this game.
We're going to have live challenges. So the 13 people who do sign up and get picked will have to be able to agree upon a day, or, if a person can't make it, get ahold of me in IM's for a quick conversation to handle HoH/Veto events.
You'll be asked to submit a pretty long form of info about your character. Because of this it might just be best to be yourself. Big Brother isn't really about being a 6'7" 265 pound ball of muscle. As many of the challenges are nearly random or mental. And when you talk to the other players, you're expected to be in character. So again, if you think you can hold up being (Name of character X) here for 12 weeks. Go nuts.
Any plotting/scheming conversations you have with another player in IM's should be E-mailed to FWsurvivor@hotmail.com so I can edit it into the show, if you don't do this, just have both parties lemme know ya goofed and I'll throw something up on the board.
Now, rules of Big Brother.
Every week is simple, there's 3 shows (Really really shortformed stuff by me, since BB on TV is a giant amount of filler and commericals, and the game mechanics take up like, 10 minutes of the show)
Show 1 (Once things are rollling) Eviction. New HoH contest.
Show 2. Nominations.
Show 3. Power of Veto Challenge. Use of Veto. Final Nominations.
OK. What does that all mean?
Head Of Household (HoH)
Head Of Household weilds supreme power in Big Brother. Winning HoH gets you a big comfy bed, the only room in the house with a lock on the door. Stuff from home, all kinds of good times. Also with HoH comes the power to nominate 2 people for eviction.
HoH puts 2 people 'on the block' and they are the only two people who can be voted out of the game. (till we get to veto) so where as Survivor, immunity merely saves your butt, here HoH not only keeps you in the game another week, but also allows you the chance to rid yourself of your opponents.
HoH can not be won by the same person in back-to-back weeks, except that whoever wins it once we're down to 4 players can win it again at 3 players.
Power of Veto (PoV)
Power of Veto is a challenge held after nominations. (Show 2) in which. The two people nominated for eviction, and the HoH each pick another player (most likely somebody they feel is loyal to them) and compete in a contest, winner gets the PoV. Whoever has PoV can elect not to use veto, or they can use it on either person who's been nominated for eviction.
The person using PoV can NOT be targetted by HoH for nomination. If the Veto is used and a player is removed from the block, HoH must nominate a new person for eviction. After this, the two people who are nominated are stuck till the vote.
Win PoV as much as ya want, go crazy with it!
Voting
The two people up for nomination can not vote, HoH can not vote. Everyone else in the house votes out either of the two people up for eviction, whoever gets the most votes is evicted. If it's a tie, then HoH casts the tiebreaking vote. No crummy purple rocks here.
So now that that has all been explained, here comes the burning question.
"How do I get into this game to take your money you crazy idiot?"
Well glad ya asked.
1). Show me you'll be active.
Generally being on-line a lot, being a plotter and planner, having played Survivor hardcore is a good way to get a leg up on others who apply.
2.) Be a woman or play a female character.
FW is in general male dominated, I want this cast to be 7 men, 6 women. So if you want in, if you're a lady, you're in luck, and if you're not a lady, fake it.
3.) Be one of my non-FW friends
I got 3 people ready for the show none of you know. Mebbe 2-3 more. This is to enhance the reality TV aspect of it all by having people compete with people who are in fact, total strangers...And generally these people don't deal with each other, so I'm not inflicting a 'Stanton's friends army' upon everyone.
It's about that simple.
So if you want in, IM me on AIM at "Hate is fair" or Yahoo at "StantonMJS" or E-mail me at FWSurvivor@hotmail.com
Good luck.
