Hi Colin,

Sorry I deleted my post and yours. I'd rather chat over IM/PM with the person, so it doesn't add fuel to the fire in here. Thanks.

Colin, don't do it! Once he gets you on AIM, he'll snare you and drag you away to NFW. I've seen it happen.

Katz destroyed me hope, spirit and will years ago so he did.

...so how about that Bracket 1...

If my presence in the tournament in general is no longer welcome, lots of luck, and may I stick around to manage Cobra and b*tch on his behalf?

What do I have to b*tch about? I beat Dan Ryan!

Jesus titty****ing Christ, my iPod broke, so now I have to listen to the radio. The station I listen to most has no fewer than THREE grass seed advertisers on it. And the **** between Scott's and Pennington is almost like an e-fed battle. It's so irritating.

I work for TruGreen so, **** Scotts. Hope Pennington puts them out.

Also, Troy Windham did THE SAME THING pretty much for his first RP, in terms of not/barely speaking. And guess what? HIS WAS GOOD, TOO. So maybe Gethard should also PM me about joining INFINITE Wrestling.

Gregg's opening narrative Rp talked about his match with Eugene Dewey and what it would mean to lose to him as a blemish on his career to be bounced from Ultratitle, he talked about the match and the tournament, Zero didn't do that, that is my issue.

If nothing else, I'm now interested in Zero. He came out of nowhere, got an unexpected win, and has a lot of heat. I would like to see him beaten, but I wonder, after that win, who can do it? And how?

In short... this one result has made this e-fedding tournament into a version of actual pro wrestling, and even if I weren't in the same bracket I would be watching this one with interest. No, I don't think Zero should have won (by my subjective standards, I was interested in what he did I liked Blaine's work better) but now that he has, I want to see what happens next.

Anyway, selfishly turning the conversation my way, I was happy to win a hard-fought battle. It felt like I was an underdog, coming in not only as an unknown, but with a character name that was confusing to people that were aware of the other Showtime (I knew there was a possibility and considered a name change, but left it anyway.) I got a lot of support from the predictions threads, and hopefully you folks are interested in seeing what I do next.

In light of the replies in this thread, I'd like to point out:

-Billy is a 10+ year handler in NFW and currently the World Champion.
-Gregg is also a 10+ year handler in NFW and with a major hand in booking ideas.
-Jamar Nicholas is the co-founder, booker and owner of NFW and writer of Blaine Hollywood.
-NFW applications are closed to the general public.

Thank you.

(oh yeah, Stanton was our first ever champ.)

SOMEBODY GETS IT!

This is exactly why heated discussion is good, aside from all the other, more productive reasons. I guarantee you more people are going to read guys like Zero and Cobra as a result of all the drama. That wasn't my purpose in triggering this, but for anyone who thinks I'm doing a disservice to this tournament by being so forward with my opinions, this is exactly why you are wrong.

Jesus Christ...375 posts about the judging and not one mention of the card itself. I just want to say that even though it was short form, I really enjoyed how Krusher/Marx was written and the difference in effort and quality was CLEAR in the later matches of the bracket as opposed to the early matches. I know that deadlines are tight and people have volunteered to write the matches (in short form) but I would expect a pretty consistent quality (like how my match was written) throughout the bracket in a tournament like this. Just my two cents.

One more thing...THANK YOU to all the judges and match writers who volunteered their time to do this.

First of all thanks to those who wrote and put it together.....very much appreciated.

Secondly......what do you think? The podcast was very interesting....but for those of you not there......what are your thought son the results?

This should be fun to discuss.....especially a couple of matches particularly

Actually this was how I started the whole thing. ;-)

Is there a general discussion podcast planned for the near future? I had obligations last night and had to listen to the archive, and I'll be out of the country for an extended period of time soon and won't have (non-expensive) phone access. But I've heard lots of talk in every direction, and... well, as the writer of Zero... it could be fun to contribute to that.

Hit me up, fordianslip on aim or just pm me here. I have a podcast scheduled for Saturday where I'd be more than willing to have you on as a guest in the second hour.

Lemme know.

That also goes to anyone else out there that's interested.

Plus, there's Bracket 2's podcast coming on Tuesday!

Seconded. Even though the matches were mostly, short-form they still told a story and satisfied. Good work, and it can't have been easy to choose all those results.

Malec's got it. Also, I can see the points on all sides of the various judging debates. I liked Billy's podcast, I dug the judges podcast. It's OK that some of us have different opinions than others. I'm cool with everybody and whatever they want to say as long as we can all still have a swell time writing this geeky stuff. I love you all! Peace and love, peace and love.

Also..

YES! YES! YES!

The only thing I really have to add to the discussion is this: If the roles had been reversed, with the trash talker never bringing up Ultratitle or his opponent and just talking about how great he was, while the narrative guy did get into Ultratitle and his opponent in whatever tale he was telling with the narrative, I would definitely say the narrative guy should go over.

In other words, it's not about narrative vs. trash talking, but about elements I (and others) look for in any RP. Just my opinion, even if I'm not a judge.

Off that soapbox I go... and now I wish to thank all those who helped write the card. Look forward to what's to come.

Excellent job by Malec, very happy to see some from the old crew get a chance to show what he can do. The story of King Krusher's comeback was one of my favorite things to write in WFW: NE run.
