The road
to WINTER'S WARRIORS VIII,
as the revitalized CSWA approaches its first PPV of the decade coming
up at the end of the month in Washington, D.C.'s downtown MCI
Center. Commissioner Chad Merritt returned to power at the
CSWA's Thanksgiving Weekend Spectacular card in December, only to
put the CSWA on hiatus until the company could be reworked, as well as
hiring former MWC head JW Locke as Chief of Staff.
Merritt
updated the lineup for PRIMETIME IN Richmond late in the week,
announcing a battle royal to determine the top contender for the Unified
Tag Titles. The winner will face the Powers of Apocalypse at PRIMETIME
in Yakima.
Also
announced for the Yakima card, Steve Radder gets his shot at
Deacon and the CSWA World Championship. Wicked Sight's competition
for the Greensboro Title will be in the spotlight at Yakima in a battle
royal. The winner receives a shot at the title at WW8.
Announced
in the Main Event for WINTER'S WARRIORS VIII, "The Hard One"
Randy Harders gets his shot at Deacon. Some have questioned the
move due to Harders recent loss of the Presidential Championship to a
returning Alex Wylde in Philadelphia. However, with Deacon's
controversial defeat of Kevin Powers at SHOWTIME, and his pending match
with Radder in Yakima, Harders remains the #2 contender until the new
rankings are released.
Merritt
also announced his intent to showcase new talent, as well as some
returning CSWA veterans. Other than Alex Wylde and some
developmental deals, we have no specific word on any new
contracts.
The short
road to the first WW card in three years continues with PRIMETIME in
Yakima.
BOB14: Take Two
No, it's
not the next PPV...it's just another great work by the Godfathers.
:) We hope you won't hate us too much for teasing the close
of the CSWA...but I thought it would be a good attention-grabber.
For those
of you who were around for BOB14...you know the old saying: Fool
me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
So
contrary to the countdown...the CSWA isn't going anywhere...except back
in action. Now go check out SHOWTIME, available from the Main
Event.
